We've been taking our pets to West Village since they opened. We live right across the street and it couldn't be easier. The service we received today, in view of everything, was exemplary. One of our cats has been sick for a while. Given COVID, we were trying, rather unsuccessfully, to treat him at home. When that broke down, we made an appointment. Unfortunately, the vet had a personal issue, and she had to cancel. They called us, but we missed the message. So we showed up, with no appointment, and a very sick cat.... read more

I brought my Persian cat in yesterday. A very kind and caring attitude prevailed. The staff was helpful. The young woman Doctor was very informative and took her time in explaining what my cat needed. The place is great.

They do a great job! They saw my cat for an emergency and were super helpful. The front desk staff has gotten much better too. Its a great animal hospital

After an unexpected ER cat visit with every terrible diagnosis possible as options our cat seemed to be returning to his normal (although slightly slower) self. I searched ENDLESSLY for a vet with good reviews for a follow up strategy...and GEEEZ...did that prove to be really difficult to find one, BUT the reviews here were great & I second them based on first hand experience. Knowledgeable doctors who explain options to you & there is no rush or push for excess tests and costs..m..truly felt more about the animals welfare!... read more

I have no idea why it's taken me this long to write a review. Because as far as my wife and I are concerned there is no better vet in all the land than Dr. Smith. He's compassionate beyond belief, knows his stuff, warm and treats our pets like they're his own. In short, we got lucky. We moved to Manhattan last July with three dogs. We could've picked any hospital. Any doctor. We knew the second we met him he was the one for Kori, Elliot, and Rocky. My review of West Village Veterinary Hospital is long overdue. Dr. Hildenbrand and Dr. Lee are both amazing vets. Last year two of my dogs ate sugarless gum. Having been a dog parent my entire life, I was aware that xylitol used in sugar-free foods is fatal to dogs if not treated immediately. It causes their organs to shut down, resulting in death. Updating for another 5 stars for Dr. Lee but also for the ENTIRE team. Maria at the front desk goes ABOVE AND BEYOND. The techs and vet assistants are all excellent as well. They are caring and knowledge, kind and patient with both humans and animals :) Taking your pet into the vet for any circumstances can be stressful but thankfully I have so much trust in this team, I have less worry. I wouldn't think to go anywhere else in the city!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this practice. From the receptionists, to the nurses, to vets - everyone here is extremely friendly and genuinely caring. I was here pretty frequently, and the entire staff took interest in my cat and were just so supportive and awesome towards me every time i was there. You can just tell that they are truly love what they do and are so interested in the well being of your animal. The nursing staff especially was just so awesome - you guys are doing great.
