Had a 12 year old barracuda G3 that would get stuck in a corner and choke on rubber mulch the gardener chipped into the pool. In the first 2 hours this new elite 8 cleaned the entire pool. All this large leaves and mulch that G3 couldn’t? Gone.

so far its been hard to get it to work right. I have a new variable speed pump and at high speed this thing barely moves. It wont climb the walls to clean them. gets stuck in the corner of the pool all the time. my pool is pretty simple rectangle and fiberglass so its pretty smooth. we had an old flapper that we replaced and it did a better job. unfortunately

I really wasn't wanting to spend that kind of money but after trying the cheaper ones i took a chance and spent the money and after seeing how well this thing cleaned my pool out was worth every penny because my pool was in really bad shape..
Worked great for a few weeks then stopped working. Crappy design

Not great so far. Have had into local pool store for service after only two weeks. I guess some grains of sand got into the gear box running the treads. Stopped the entire cleaner dead in its tracks, or even a small grade or a rogue leaf would stop it. Have a strong pool pump, too. Not sure I can recommend it. Especially for around $500
