This is our third Zodiac and It’s working better than our last one!!! We recommended it to a friend visiting from abroad and he bought one and took it on his flight!

So far I’d give it 4.5/5 for its cleaning ability. After using it for a month, the scrubbing fins have already warped and remain curved. It could easily go to 5/5 if the part stand the test of time 👍

This pool cleaner does not clean our pool. It barely moves and does not seem too pick up any dirt that is just sitting at the bottom of the pool.

Struggling with long leaves from my palm tree, long twigs get jammed inside and the Zodiac just stops working. Is there no attachment that can prevent it sucking up the large debris? Never had this issue with the simple cheep cleaners.

I purchased the MX8 Elite on the recommendation of the company that recently refinished my pool which is about 8,000 gallons. The problem for me is I think this unit is intended for large pools with higher horsepower motors rather than my size (1.65 hp). I suggest that Zodiac make pool size and pump horsepower recommendations for its units. My pump has to be turned up to its maximum rpm to barely meet the minimum requirement of this cleaner. It's a well made unit but I wish I purchase the MX6 instead.

When I reviewed many comments about this cleaner plus a recommendation from a pool company repair specialist I thought this product would clean my entire 13,000 gal pool kidney shaped. The texture of the pool is glass beads. This product does not climb the walls to the surface. I’ll live with it but at the cost I was hopefully it would do the entire surface. My pool is salt water and has a new variable speed Pentair pump.
