8x8 is a good VoIP platform. The call quality, feature set and support is on par with other providers but their cost tends to be a little bit lower. We replaced our mixed on-prem and VoIP phone systems with 8x8 (work and VCC) as a single solution about 3 years ago and have been happy with the results. 8x8's live support has been especially helpful when we run into issues like corrupt accounts, questions on configuration and integration or even getting designated as spam. The service works well. It has a lot of capabilities and at times is less than straight forward on how to configure things but I have seen a steady trend to make it easy to use. Technical support has worked well the few times we needed it. Call quality is good even on my current less than optimal network configuration.

Our experience with 8x8 has been solidly OK--not great, but not bad. We were very disappointed we could never get the Salesforce integration to work. Also, there are some features with the ring groups that my client services team doesn't like (they can't reject the call if they are busy without rejecting the call for the whole group). After 2 years of using 8x8, we have decided to switch to Zoom Phone.
