Expensive paperweight I've spent hours already on this and the scanner software won't install and won't find the device on the network. I regret this purchase. Update: I purchased the 'not-included' USB cable and tried again. No dice, the installation software will not recognize the scanning device. Returning tomorrow.
Don't buy this product It worked well until it jammed and then it never worked again. Stay away!!!
Did not work This may be me, but I could not get this copier to work. I bought two different cords to go with it. My regular USB cord and then a male to male USB cord and none of them would connect to my computer to get the soft ware. I downloaded the iprint software and got nothing... there was no recognition of a new device. I tried other cords... nothing. I will keep trying because I want it to work, if I get it to work, I will edit the review.
Very Difficult Set-Up, But Amazingly Fast Scanning I have had this Brother ADS-1250W for a few weeks and just attempted to set it up the second time. The first time I called Brother for Technical Support. The assistant was both brusque and unfriendly and told me that in order to set the scanner up wirelessly I needed to purchase a special cable (USB MICRO 3.0). Ready to pull my hair out For the price of this scanner, I am very disappointed at how many issues I have had. Everything from jamming to VERY VERY VERY slow scanning (that has nothing to do with network connection and/or the PC the files are being scanned to). I bought this scanner less than a year ago and I am replacing it with the Fujitsu because I am about to pull my hair out dealing with the slow scan speeds. Complete waste of money - wish I had of followed my gut and went with the Fujitsu to begin with.
Skip this one...never works right Misfeeds pretty much every second page..,total crap...it's more work than scanning a page at a time on a flatbed
Brother Wireless Portable Compact Desktop Scanner The scanner was a little hinky to set up. I had to use a USB cable (not included) to download the driver and set-up. I think the primary feature of the scanner is its portability. It’s lightweight and can be taken off-site to scan invoices, receipts etc. I really don’t think it is robust enough for office use. Had a Bad Item I had a problem with the wireless connectivety. It lost connection after a windows 10 update and I could not get it to to re connect after that.
