I should have read reviews. The movers were nice, professional, and did a good job. I had used them before and anticipated them to do a good job again. This time was radically different. I was moving 21 furniture items about 20 miles. Two men arrived and spent almost five hours wrapping my furniture with paper. I was told to expect $250 for shipping supplies and ended up paying over $350. I spent $1,000 for wrapping my furniture and another $800 for them to load/unload it on the truck. Very very sweet, kind, considerate, personable team, and as a result, I am adding an additional star. Please consider taking out private moving insurance, as your larger/more valuable items are almost certain to be damaged! Is their team invited to our home for dinner? Yes. Will I be a repeat customer? No.
Read reviews from BBB to know what you are getting into. We spoke with All My Sons in Raleigh and they said they can pack and move us from our 3 bedroom town home into our new home. We felt their pricing was too good to be true but we asked many questions on packaging and our rooms and they confirmed price. I want to note, that I pursued all respectable internal communications that could be had with this company prior to maneuvering to ringing the warning bell online. About a month prior to my move, I called All My Sons to schedule. I told them I am a 3rd story unit and that I had moved all boxes myself and just had a few heavy furniture pieces that would need to be moved. Reader please note that I did give the management an opportunity to provide service recovery before submitting my review. I booked my move for Saturday 3/25 on Saturday 3/4 with Kristina. During this conversation I explained that I needed to be the first move of the day due to childcare needs. She assured me that I would be the first move of the day. just now New Definitely not worth the money. Paid for 4 guys and a truck and it took them almost 6 hours to move just large furniture out of one house to a new house literally down the road. One of the 4 guys was nice and kept apologizing for the crew he was with and kept saying this wasn't his normal crew. Stay away from this place!! The MOVERS were great, but the customer service was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The operations MANAGER in Raleigh NC Shane hung up the phone on me AND threatened to have the movers close and lock the door with my furniture in it during delivery because I refused to pay the remaining balance until the movers were closer to being done. Definitely would not recommend this place. They are probably the laziest people that I've had move and they get paid on the hour so they get paid to waste time.also multiple items have gone missing since the move which is outrageous
STAY AWAY. They will deceive you with a quote and then charge you TWICE as much when they show up to deliver your items. Communication was AWFUL, they didn't provide a ETA just showed up unannounced even though I CALLED to get an update ahead of time. I had a TERRIBLE experience with this company.
