If you decide to engage the Raleigh, NC office of All My Sons Moving ("AMS"), buy the additional insurance despite how expensive it is. The standard coverage provided by AMS at no cost to you only pays $0.60 per pound. The damage payment is not based on the value of the item but instead, the weight of the item. If they crack the screen on your 65-inch flat screen TV like they did mine, it does not matter that you have the receipt showing the value of $1,400. Worst customer experience of my life. Deceptive pricing- went to 300% of price I spoke with call center about. Surcharge for CC payment never disclosed. Charged for a packing material that was never used. Dryer is now broken. Spoke with comp rep Pamela Mcgin*** at end... she practically sneered at my concerns and said I was wasting time as the movers wouldn't unload my items from the truck until I paid. Terrible experience. I had 3 very young, very inexperienced movers on the day of the move. A one bed + office, 1,000 sf move took 9 1/2 hours! (they were billing me by the hour.) when I called during the move to say that things were not going well I was told by the operations manager that if I wasn't happy he could have his movers take everything off of my truck and leave it there. Stay Away And Be Aware! We booked All My Sons over 2 months before our move and paid a $500 deposit. We were moving on a Sunday and needed the crew to come first thing in the morning. We asked multiple times and multiple people if they would have a crew. They all said "Yes, absolutely! We work all days of the week". Paid just under $1000 to move 13 miles in the Raleigh area. I was told they would arrive at 9am but no one showed until 2pm. It did rain but they did not deliver the items until the following morning then literally dropped everything by the front door rather then moving it into the parts of the home where the items were going. Also, they did not even get everything out of the old place as requested so myself and some friends had to go back and move more stuff when the truck had room. I would not recommend these movers to anyone. I scheduled their service 1 week in advance. They called the morning of the move and cancelled because half their crew called out sick. I suspected they would cancel because they called 3 times to obtain my last name because their system didn't have it on file. A couple of days prior to the move, they called to push my move later in the day because they took on a larger job that required 4 man-hours. Then the morning of the move, they cancelled. Scheduled a move two weeks ago for Saturday, April 30. They call me at 5:15 the day before to tell me they've canceled my move. Now I'm scrambling to find new movers to help on short notice. Who cancels like that on such short notice. I paid a $100 deposit which I better get back.

Horrible experience. We always use movers and for some reason did not use the last company we used. There were 3 people and only one did the hardest job, which was taking care of our king size bed. Only one of the movers dissassembled the bed while another was downstairs. Everytime I saw the 3rd one, he was sitting in the moving truck (have a pic).
