Quite possibly the worst experience I've ever had moving. Avoid it like the plague. Completely unprofessional and fraudulent billing practices.

I used this moving service and my experience was terrible. I moved from Raleigh to Fayetteville. After loading the movers did not go directly to Fayetteville and said they would meet me there. I found when unpacking I was missing a large wardrobe box. Lots of beautiful clothes stolen.

Extremely dissatisfied. Overbilled on the hours worked, very inefficient two man crew. Took them 5 hours to load up what amounted to a 10' x 15' storage unit worth of stuff, half of which was already packed boxes. Spent too long wrapping furniture way more than necessary. One guy spent half of the time continually rearranging furniture on the truck. I had to carry out half of the boxes myself to get them to finish the job before dark. I'm not a customer and never will be after my daughter's experience with AMSM&S......she was given a quote that she agreed to with a deposit. Two days before her move she got a call from a representative of the company at 4:59 pm. The representative changed the amount by hundreds of dollars with no change in the situation from my daughter's end. The men who did our move were fabulous..hardworking, courteous, careful, wasted no time. HOWEVER, pricing was NOT transparent. We moved 3 miles and were not informed that we would be charged $159 on top of hourly rate. Also, we were charged for all sorts of packing materials. I must say things were over wrapped. $80 to box 1 TV! And 3% charge for credit card use. Would they have really allowed the driver to receive cash payment? These movers are a rip off. They charge an hour for the drive to your house and then no matter how long it takes. In my case 15 minutes they charge for 30 min. plus a bunch of misc fees. The movers themselves do a great job but the billing that they don't tell you about is terrible.

1 star is generous. We paid extra for 3 movers to move a 3 bedroom house. We had everything packed in boxes, and all of them were stacked in the garage. The only things in the house were pieces of furniture. It took the movers almost 5 hours because they spent most of the time doing everything together as a party of 3 chit chatting. Sometimes 1 would sit and watch the other 2 do things. Once my husband started moving things on to the truck is when they actually started working smarter. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They do not stand behind their work. This list of things they did not do according to their contract is lengthy such as not taking items they were supposed to, not putting things they had taken apart upon delivery. Calling them has not done any work, they refuse to accept their responsibility in a botched move.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...If I could give this company a -1MillionI, I would. It started off feeling great about hiring this company by speaking to Cody the Assistant Manager. He verbally told me the price would be $159 which included Travel and Labor. I gave my $100 deposit. I asked several times would it be more he said no. I got a confirmation and it is was still $159.
