What in the world?? I was told specifically that there would be NO withdrawal from my account UNTIL I actually make a deposit into my account. Did I ever do this? NO, I did not. I was STILL trying to decide what to do and then I wake up this A.M. and SEE a $312 withdrawal from my checking account! This is UNACCEPTABLE! I have ALREADY PAID my creditors for this month! Things would've been much better off had I had dealt directly with the institutions. One of the institutions interest grew by more than $1000 because of the delay with no reduction with Americor's intervention. The fee charged - 29% - was either completely misunderstood or erroneously stated. Also there was a settlement offer of @$1400 from one of the institutions was not addressed a month prior to the final dealings and final cost for that debt was over $1800! I am most unhappy to put it kindly......
Customer Service After asking questions about my account, the agent unexpectedly transferred me to another person. I had asked a question in regard to lowering my settlement fee and the agent responded, "Well it could be". The answer should have been either yes or a no. Thats when she disconnected me.
Until now, I cannot give an opinion and what I have to say is that what they informed me when I signed the contract is that Americor would cancel the debt in 7 days and I would be left paying the debt to you, more than 10 days have already passed and The accounts are the same, it was not what was explained before signing the contract. I would like to talk to someone in Spanish.
Don't use Americor. Nobody seems to know anything about anything. Learn your clients.
Horrible communication! I was served a judgement and tried so hard to get to someone who could help pay this bill 1st and NO ONE was available to help! Now I'm stuck in the program and wish I went a different route. There is literally ZERO communication with what's going on with my account. Especially when stuff like this arises. It's been over a year and 3 accounts are still listed as not settled. My contact was canceled by Americor. Looking forward to hearing back from them.
So far it’s been extremely difficult to get a hold of anyone to go over some changes I’d like to make and questions I have about the costs and I’m starting to think I should stop all future payments to them or just close my bank account and discontinue working with them not that I have had much luck so far anyway… it has only been going on 2 months but communication is still a big deal!!!
It might be a good program but literally letting things go to collections or court systems to settle debt, I was told is a bad idea by my personal bank.
