What I was told in 2019 that would be completed by February 2023 and here it is 2024 and advising I have 2 1/2 years left. They wait to long to negotiate and the late fees keep accruing. Not a satisfied customer at all.
The settlement amounts of the accounts has ranged about 10-25% of the balance, which ends up being equal to the full balance, if not more, after Americor collects their settlement fee. They are completely inflexible when a need arises to change a withdrawal date to the settlement account. The only justification I have for using their service is keeping creditors at bay.
Was disappointed that I was told in the beginning of the process that I would be given an affordable payment to alleviate the stress of credit cards and then half way through the process I was given a loan with a very high interest rate a payment that matched what I was already paying. So it still damaged my credit and put me in a position worse then what I started.
It was hard to get in touch with an actual person.vSlow response time to email that are sent with questions/concerns.
I'm not happy with the order my bills are being worked for settlement. I did not know that only 1 bill would be worked & paid at a time . I was not aware that my bills would continue to continue to incur interest & late fees. I feel I was mislead in order to secure my account.
Americor for me was a complete rip off I do not recommend them to anyone ever!!!! They tell you they will reduce your debt by 50% then add there 25% and then ruin your credit score and give you a consolidation loan at 25% interest so in all reality you are in the same amount or worse in debt than when you started save yourself the trouble and shop around better companies out there!
I felt the sales person , Christian, that took all my info, cared only only about closing the deal. There was one company included in negotiations that should not of been (Lowe’s) and one not included in negotiations that should of been (PayPal). Christian never returned my calls until I texted . For me , it has been a scary and humbling experience. I have not made final judgement yet.
Unexpected funds taken out at random dates having to always look at the App even after talking with Customer service. But eventually settled my debt
I made 4 attempts to call and cancel opt out. Horrible experience finally 5th attempt agent was able to complete the process.Although he said he sent an email of the acct. Closure I've yet to receive it.The sign you up process is such a breeze but to opt out seems like a process agents playing games of hanging up on you or I can't hear you game 3x's over half an hour of ph. You can understand the frustration.
