They could do better making sure the customer is completely aware of what you're supposed to be doing. Try Americor out. I'm not sure exactly what they're wanting from me at this point. I've sent the letters but they are asking me for some more documents and I don't know what those are so I'm kind of confused right now.
You are, in effect, paying off your debt in 5-7 years with ZERO savings. On, say, $100,000 owed, they negotiate your debt by half ($50,000). They charge a flat fee of 25% of what you "saved". So, $25,000. Meanwhile, companies like Discover, they LEAVE ALONE and tell you NOT TO CONTACT them.... So for 18 months, you're accumulating 30% MORE in interest AND when they finally negotiate it down and add their fee, you've paid well over what the Discover debt started with. Hard to get a precise answer. Original person loan person was great. Still not received any information to the credit bureaus on my loan.original guy was a fast talker, high pressure!!!!
There were some ridiculous fees I didn't even realize I was getting charged every time I was sending in the payment. Then they charge twenty five percent of the gross on every bill. Do it yourself you're better off and probably save fifty percent if you just take the time to. It wasn't cost effective.
It shows that all my accounts are settled but the creditors have not cleared my accounts. Only one has. It is probably not Amercors fault but I was under the assumption that once paid off they would be cleared.
Nothing has happened so really there's nothing to rate. Creditors are still calling although I have not made contact with them
I just wasn't happy with it. They told me things that didn't happen. I didn't get the answers I've asked.
If I knew now, what was going to happen to my Credit, I would have used this service.
They are pretty organized, but to be honest, the fees they charge are outrageous. They'll be getting as much money from me as my creditors. I believe I would have been far better off to negotiate my own debts.
