I am so happy I went with Belle Haven Animal Medical Centre. I absolutely love the hours (they are flexible and stay open until 7:30 pm on weekdays!), everyone is so friendly right when you walk in the door, and they (the vets and techs) follow-up on the phone with our fur babies every time they go in for an emergency visit, procedure or if I have just a general question. Thank you so much for the peace of mind every time I enter and exit - I seriously can't imagine taking our dogs anywhere else!

I have been going to Belle Haven since I first got my puppy, Olive. I got her at 8 weeks and she is now 5 years old. My first vet was wonderful but she relocated to California. I didn't think that I would like anyone as much as I had liked her, but then we met Dr. Kamei. Olive LOVES going to the vet. Dr. Kamei is always so friendly and warm with her and Olive adores her and is so relaxed with her. Olive (and I) trust her implicitly. This is a review I wish I didn't have to write, but I feel like I need to let people know how compassionate and caring the staff of Belle Haven is. I had to euthanize my beautiful 16 year old kitty last week and Dr. Kamei was so kind and caring and kept everyone at ease. The last moments for my beautiful girl were stress free and I felt at peace with my decision.

I feel lucky to have easy access to this great animal medical center in Belle Haven. Sadly, I was only able to take our dog here towards the end of his life, but the care we received during his final months was exceptional. It's clear the veterinarians and staff here truly care about your pet, as was evidenced in the wellness check-up calls I received after we started our dog on a medication regimen. Dr. Kamei is the best vet in the entire DMV area (and beyond) The rescue where we got our pup recommended we come here and I couldn't be more glad that we did. 1. She is so sweet with our dogs, that it's just an entirely different experience from any other vet we've been to. She actually gets down on the floor and plays with them while she is doing check ups so that they are more comfortable and it makes an enormous difference. This is a wonderful animal hospital! Dr. Janet Kamei is always so nice and helpful. We were new dog owners this year and she was very patient as we worried about every little thing. She treats our dog with love and always gives us all our options before making a suggestion. Highly recommend!

I have been seeing Dr. Donohue for the last year or so, she was recommended to us by one of our neighbors that also has an elderly dog. After trying out many vets in the northern VA area, I really didn't expect too much. Our dog, Molly, has lots of skin issues that we unsuccessfully treated with many different antibiotics. Dr. D took a comprehensive background and did a thorough exam (spending lots of time with us!) and prescribed a new round of antibiotics which immediately cleared up Molly's many skin issues. I'm so happy we chose this place! My golden mix has been fighting a yeast infection in her ears for months. Nothing from our previous vet would work. Luckily, Belle Haven got us in quick and for a really affordable price. And what's even better is that after 48 hrs of their treatment plan, my sweet girl's ears are completely clear.
