I just became the new Mommy of an 8 week old Mini Australian Shepherd, Arlo. (Well he is 9 weeks old today). And after MUCH research before I even went and got the little guy from the breeder, I read up on all my fellow Yelp'ers experiences with vets in Alexandria. The nicest, cleanest animal clinic I have ever been to. We have been going there for over 11 years. My cats are never afraid and everyone is friendly and efficient. Never an anxiety provoking wait. Will always fit you in for emergencies. My cats love Dr. Katz!!!

We have only been three times with our dog Rocky but the service at the front desk is prompt, friendly and professional. Dr. Anders is fantastic, it is so rare to find a board certified surgeon who practices at a regular animal hospital. She has both the knowledge and compassion to make any visit to the vet worth looking forward to.

This place is phenomenal! I am a big fan. Dr. Anders Gardner was very professional and totally helpful and patient talking over my dogs issues with me. I appreciate it when a vet actually listens to me and my concerns! The reception desk was nice as well, very friendly and knowledgeable. If only I lived closer they would be my regular vet!

Fantastic service from both the vet AND the front desk. They were able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment after work, which is key since I'd have to take off work otherwise. Also my vet didn't try and push any sales on me - she was honest and friendly as hell, which is practically a first in terms of my veterinary history across three cities. We are new to the area and were a bit nervous about finding a new vet because our dog loved his previous vet so much that he would pull towards her office on walks just so that he could say hi. While he doesn't have quite the same affection for the doctors at Belle Haven, I am so happy to have found them. Both of the doctors we have seen are patient, thorough, and caring, and the facility is clean and up to date.

I am new to the area, and I went with a local place that received some good reviews from my fellow Yelpers. So far I am very impressed. My English Bulldog went in for an exam, with a shot, and her nails cut. Can you believe she actually came out with a smile. Crazy.

After moving here almost year ago, I was absolutely devastated to leave my vet from home. And, after having a terrible experience at another vet in town I was nervous my little pup would never receive the proper attention from a vet again. That's when I found Belle Haven and I started to sleep better at night. I've been there twice for non routine visits and they have been extremely professional and attentive to my dog. Our dog LOVES going to the vet. Our dog is happy to walk back and get a walk-in "good dog" nail trim. We never have to wait long for appointments. Prices are a tad high, but your dog gets excellent care. Our beagle has seen both Dr. Donohue (very warm and friendly) and Dr. Katz (very knowledgeable and considerate). Our dog rolls on her back to get a tummy rub or pause for a treat. They are only happy to oblige.
