"Watch out for Service Upcharges!" BEWARE SERVICE IS DISHONEST! They will upcharge whatever they can for any service provided. I went in for a faulty alarm and asked them to disconnect it. They refused and told me the ONLY option was a new hood latch...then proceeded to charge $140 for diagnostics (less than 1 hour time) and $140 per hour for service (1 hr min), the only reasonable charge was the $140 for the part. "Called and done." I called at 7:35 AM, and was able to get an appointment for 9:15 AM. I had the oil changed and tires rotated. I was done and on my way home about 11:00 or so.
"Straight Forward" Berlin Honda kept the exprience honest and comfortable (For the most part). As a first time car buyer, I was very weary of the sales tactics played in this kind of process. While part of Ted's job as a sales person, he was never pushy and made sure I was taken care of. I cannot say the same for the finance department. "First service for my Honda HRV" Quick and easy. No hassle to make appt. They replenished my windshield washer fluid and washed off the pollen! I had been confused because I hadn’t seen the icon for service on my car so I went to the dealership to ask if the reminder icon was working...I hadn’t driven the car enough miles!!!
"Scott made the difference" Scott had the perfect touch. He didn't hover or overcall yet he contacted us with the perfect amount of time lapse in between. I can't even tell you what that was; maybe once/week or every 4-5 days? Maybe he has a formula! Or his phone on auto for that. But he was always polite, worked SUPER hard and was NOT pushy (which is my biggest issue with car salesmen or women in general. Gwen was also great but she had to go on leave.) disregard "quality of work" category below as we didn't have any done.
"Simple oil change and noise from rear." They gave me estimate of work up front and kept me advised of progress. They were having computer issues that day and the service agent called me later in the day and advised they had over charged me. How many dealerships would have done that? I went from not happy with the price to being happy.
"Same day, quick turnaround" My ignition key broke. I called Monday morning to find out how to order a replacement. By 3 PM that same afternoon I drove out of the dealership with a new key programmed to my Pilot, in time for a trip to New York the same week.
"A1 oil and tire and filter change" Eric was very helpful letting me know what was needed beyond the basic oil change and tire rotation. I am sad I now need to pay for the oil changes out of pocket since my maintenance package is done.
"Service 8,000 mile warranty plus oil change.. " Service done in time indicated by service personnel. Normal entry time for day of appointment on a busy day. No confusion. Every one very responsible.
