Overall, the team and process was great. I was able to reach out with questions and get responses or voice to voice calls when needed. I never felt lost in the process with how their website guided and tracked tasks.I am only providing 4 stars because there were multiple changes in the loan estimate statement throughout the process. I had a real good experience doing a cash out refinance with Better mortgage.In about 20 days, the new mortgage closed. Everything was online but the officers of the loan are very proactive and very approachable! I would ask any questions and they would be available to answer very quick. A mobile notary was sent to a convenient place I chose myself on closing date and it was helpful that they provided the notarys information ahead of time. They gave me an expected day to get funded. Working with better was a breeze. My wife and I had never bought a home before and the team made it simple. While still overwhelming there was always someone there to assist. ******* ******** is the star of the company. He would help with anything, even stuff outside of his department. He would never just pass the buck to another team or employee, he would always circle back to make sure we were taken care of. BUYERS BEWARE....SCAM....BUYERS BEWARE....SCAM....BUYERS BEWARE.....SCAM.....Do not use BETTER.COM. for a refinance. Credit is above 750. Employed at the same company close to 20 years. I paid for 2 appraisals at $1100 that I was unable to use at another lender due it being a hybrid appraisal. $1100 is down the drain with no results from this tech scam company. I was in the process of obtaining a mortgage loan through this company, to lock my interest rate i had to pay an upfront cost of $550 which is stated "refundable" as long as the appraisal doesn't happen. They ordered the appraisal on the very first day and I had received a call in regards to it, in which I had cancelled myself with no help from them. They were fine until I decided not to do my mortgage through them. I found a better rate so I sent the person I was working with an email that I appreciated their time and didn't want to waste their time following up so I wanted to let them know I was going with another company. They emailed me with a link to a law firms website on mortgage fraud, implying that I must not be being truthful to the other lender, which I was. Extremely happy with the process. Got an excellent rate, and the communication was excellent. Had a short period of time to close on the home (30 days) and Better was able to accomplish that with zero issues. Was very simple to navigate for a first time home buyer.

I worked with the Better team when a close friend was unable to get my refinance done I communicated my situation with ***** and he asked for me to give him a chance. Im very happy I listened. I havent had a better experience when it comes to banking ever!! This team is fast and asks all the right questions to make your time valuable. For sure will do business here again

Working with Better gave me a great sense of relief when working on the loan application process. Everything you do is online and via their portal. They made themselves available for any questions I had. Reaching them by phone was very easy. I would definately recommend them to others who are in the market for to purchase a home or refinancing one.
