It was good to work with a company that makes the process easier and simpler, and offers Better rates, and saves closing cost. Better lives up to that claim. The task due feature was good. However, where they lacked was in customer service and responsiveness of the staff. They asked questions which I answered, but then didn't bother to read my responses. I was cautious about using this company but once I started working with them I knew they were professional. My answers were addressed the same day. I have used another loan company in the past who now heavily advertises onTV. They have changed! The “closer” sold out of desperation and was condescending and argumentative. I got a much better rate with Better.com and they were all very nice and genuinely interested in helping me combine a HELOC with my primary. I highly recommend this company.

AVOID THIS AT ANY COST As a young millennial, I was very excited starting my first loan application with better.com like UI and loved the founder story, and mission. However, things were great in starting but suddenly it turn out be a nightmare. I ended up losing money, which I paid for appraisal, and ended going with other lender last minute. Flawless process from the begging to the end. They had a high level of communication and a very easy to use interface. I have never seen it so easy to get a mortgage. I would recommend them to everyone I know that is interested in buying their first home or an investment.

I enjoyed my experience with Better except for a couple of communication errors with my closing agent (1/2 have been corrected thus far). I found it exciting to watch my loan progress on their website and enjoyed the fact that I could text the people on my team with questions. I was a little confused why I would get so many calls and texts and emails from different people in the beginning, but once I understood it was a team of people, I just asked that only the one team member contact me and things calmed down. Our loan experience was incredible. Anna, Sharri and Valerie were accessible, responsive and knowledgeable. I don't want to set any unreasonable expectations for anyone else but from the day I first applied to the day we signed all the docs was 18 days!
