Fantastic overall experience with my mortgage expert, loan processor, and closer. They are all very quick to respond. When they do not know an answer to a question, they will not ** you, they will tell you they dont know and get back to you in a very quick fashion. Worst lender ever! I'm a realtor and have dealt with many lenders in my time, but this is by far the worst. There is no direct contact person. You call and its just a room of tele marketers basically not giving you any info. I had to hint them down for appriaisal outcome. We were supposed to close last week which was already a 45 day closing and extended until this Friday and they are still asking for conditions from buyer. Just run around with no answers. I was lured into the Better.com experience through the advertising of fast closing, lowest rates/lowest fees. I was also assured there was a $1,000 guarantee if they couldn't match another lender. The rep, "Anna", was very attentive and straight forward (seeming) and I was ready to move forward. We went back and forth over about 10 days, gathering my documents, etc. I have A+ credit and the Fed rate had just dropped. I was given a preliminary Loan Estimate of 3.375. I have bought and sold 4 homes, refinanced 2 times and this has been an extremely painful process. They ask questions which I answered but didn't both to read my responses. I scheduled the appraisal, paid for it, and know it happened but still have no idea what it came back as which seems extremely scammy to me. Be warned before you deal with this company.
