Installed a brand new fifty gallon natural gas for a client today. After install found the control valve leaking gas and the thermal couple on the pilot assembly not assembled correctly. Ok I’m sure it’s a one off, not a big deal however when dealing with the warranty service they said that they were only responsible for parts and not labor. Trouble shooting, driving to get parts and fix the bad manufacturing job on this tank added 2.5 hours of labor that the company said I needed to push onto the client, entirely unethical.... read more
We have the 50 g. heat pump (Aerotherm). It works fine but whenever the power goes out or you shut it off at the load center, it generates an E7 error. We've already replaced the board once under warranty and we have a whole house surge protector correctly installed at the load center but it keeps happening and they kept telling us that it's because of the surge when the power comes back on. It can't be that since it happens when you just trip the breaker normally, for example to do maintenance. We are in a rural area where ... read more
Recently had a plumber install an 4500w electric water heater. Unfortunately, the water was not set hot enough so rather than call the plumber back I decided to bump up the temp a little (as I have done easily with my prior GE water heater). Because the access panel screws were screwed into the insulation the screws simply balled up with insulation making them nearly impossible to get out. How hard could it be to design an electric water heater with an easily accessible control panel to adjust the water temperature like e... read more
I am a retired US ARMY officer who lives in Richmond VA. 2.5 years ago we had a 80g Bradford White electric water heater installed by Mundin Plumbing. The wire harness fried itself, and despite having a year old electrical box installed at the house...Bradford White and Mundin Plumbing said the warranty does not cover electrical surges. This was my problem to solve and I could be given a "refund for parts" on the tank. No one from Bradford actually diagnosed the problem. The Mundin rep was only a plumber, not electrit... read more
These are the poorest quality water heaters ever built. I built a new home in 2019 and installed 2 Bradford White water heaters. Both leaked within two weeks after just 6 years of service which was ironically 4 months after the warranty expired.
I spoke with Crandice at the warranty department because our water heater that is only two years old, keeps turning itself off. Candice was very rude. I guess the warranty is not really a warranty, as you have to pay for a plumber to come out and do the repairs anyway. I will never buy another Bradford White product again. I do not respect companies that do not respect their customers.
Unit has never worked and company does not honor cost for repairs. Awful product. Buyer beware.
Our heater is a model URG275H6N. It is only three years old - still under warranty. The pilot system goes out periodically, and it does re-light---but this is annoying. Today, after re-lighting, just for a minute or so, it gave an indication of a problem with the thermopile voltage. But this error message soon changed to a green normal operation indication. What's going on here?
serial number PH39916617, MODEL URG275H6N INSTALLED 10/12/2017. A piece of junk that has failed twice. Previously, in 2022, we found this gas heater jumping up and down while it tried to heat water. It was so violent that it tore open the flex piping on the hot water. We had to pay for parts and labor. Then, a few days ago the heater stopped producing hot water, A relatively clean flush pointed the culprit as a broken dip tube and we are quoted approx $1650 parts and labor but with no warranty left claiming it was only six y... read more
