We had a bradford white residential home water heater. We purchased our home in 2021, custom built. Just replaced with this piece of crap bradford white water heater,1/21/26. Piece of crap was built with in ferrous fittings, founds galvanic corrosion at the interior and exterior pipe fittings. Reason for the hot water leaking. DO NOT BUY THIS WORTHLESS PIECE OF CRAP!! BUY RHEEM!
Energy cost remains high even in the Heat Pump Only mode PLUS even with a 50 gallon water tank we run out of hot water with a shower lasting more than 12 minutes. Hardly enough time to wash my hair and shave my legs. Then my husband has luke warm water for his shower. We can get two showers in our motorhome with a 7 gallon hot water tank. I had a Bradford water heater installed in March 2021. The anode rotted out this past year and had to be replaced. Both heating elements failed this week. The heater came with a six year warranty but Bradford refuses to honor their warranty so this latest repair bill is just short of $800. For two or three hundred dollars more I could get a brand new water heater, but it will never be another Bradford
Brand new Bradford White gas water heater less than 4 months old. Loudly clangs all the time- like an old water heater. You can hear it upstairs. Plumber adjusted the ballast with no reduction of noise. It replaced a quiet A.O Smith. Very disappointed with the heater. BW needs to replace it or find a fix.
Installed a brand new fifty gallon natural gas for a client today. After install found the control valve leaking gas and the thermal couple on the pilot assembly not assembled correctly. Ok I’m sure it’s a one off, not a big deal however when dealing with the warranty service they said that they were only responsible for parts and not labor. Trouble shooting, driving to get parts and fix the bad manufacturing job on this tank added 2.5 hours of labor that the company said I needed to push onto the client, entirely unethical.... read more
We have the 50 g. heat pump (Aerotherm). It works fine but whenever the power goes out or you shut it off at the load center, it generates an E7 error. We've already replaced the board once under warranty and we have a whole house surge protector correctly installed at the load center but it keeps happening and they kept telling us that it's because of the surge when the power comes back on. Recently had a plumber install an 4500w electric water heater. Unfortunately, the water was not set hot enough so rather than call the plumber back I decided to bump up the temp a little (as I have done easily with my prior GE water heater). Because the access panel screws were screwed into the insulation the screws simply balled up with insulation making them nearly impossible to get out. I am a retired US ARMY officer who lives in Richmond VA. 2.5 years ago we had a 80g Bradford White electric water heater installed by Mundin Plumbing. The wire harness fried itself, and despite having a year old electrical box installed at the house...Bradford White and Mundin Plumbing said the warranty does not cover electrical surges. These are the poorest quality water heaters ever built. I built a new home in 2019 and installed 2 Bradford White water heaters. Both leaked within two weeks after just 6 years of service which was ironically 4 months after the warranty expired.
