Initially, I gave Dr. Bolen 5 stars, he seemed like a professional doctor who was interested in my care as a new patient. But into the 3rd or 4th visit with him, he was a different doctor, he got highly annoyed with me, raised his voice to me and showed no interest in what I was there for. Why, because I was not agreeing with what he wanted me to do, medically, which was my right as a patient. That was my last visit with him. I went in for a Endoscopy. Right before getting the anesthesia I expressed my concerns and she was very dismissive and in a hurry to get the procedure done. After my procedure, I was woken up by the nurse and I immediately see Dr. Stephen walk in to explain the findings. I usual do not do reviews or complain about experiences with Doctors. My Mother saw him 3 weeks ago and had a biopsy done. The experience was not a professional one. NO result on the biopsy and its been 3 weeks. She had a CT scan at his request a week ago and still no results. She has called his office and they scared her to death. Not your patient advocate; hung up on me when I called regarding serious cramping and potential herniated abdominal bowel, shortness of breath? Stay away for you own health and well being. A very emotionally detached gastroenterologist; boasts about income and rarely returns urgent patient called-in concerns.
I had a colonoscopy 9/9/21 and had 4 polyps.I was told they were sent for a biopsy which would take 5-7 days.I have not received any report on the outcome.My calls to Dr Ali have not been returned.
He was the admitting physician for a screening colonoscopy, I never saw him before the procedure, and only got a phone call from an office staff member telling me that the results were (-) and that they would see me in ten years for my next screening. Well fast forward 8 years. I found out the colonoscopy wasn't (-) and that I should have been treated for a type of leucocytic colitis... Barely met her moments before being put under for colonoscopy. Very brusque afterwards and, albeit unintentionally, thoughtless of how some of what she quickly and briefly conveyed might hurt my feelings.

She was curt. Condescending, and did way more talking than listening. I have had numerous gastro related surgeries over the years, including a colon resection. I know when something is wrong, and she had zero interest in hearing me. I left feeling both angry and deflated. I would never recommend this NP, Karen Urban to anyone. Ever. I have seen Dr. Jensen, Missy, and Dr. Arluk who are all wonderful. And the staff is wonderful to me 100% of the time. I have been a patient here for years. Did two great colonoscopies for me in the past but it seems that his current staff puts a brick wall between the patient and scheduling anything. They completely lack the temperament for dealing with elderly(or any aged) patients who might have a problem albeit a serious problem. Worked on getting an appointment for 6 months with no results even though they cancelled on me twice and gave me false information.
