In my search for answers to my chronic pain, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Goldberg, since gastrointestinal issues were a part of my problem. Dr. Birns came off as a creepy 80s doctor to me. He was overly touchy, seemed to ignore my concerns, and denigrated the benefits of the FODMAP diet which is widely accepted for IBS, Colitis and Crohns.
Unfortunately, I don’t even think she deserves 1 star. I went to capitol digestive care in germantown during covid -19. I knew something was wrong with me & that I needed to have an in person visit to show her things. I was scolded for coming in to the office rather than have an online visit. The whole appointment, she talked down to me & did not listen to what I had to say. My mask was not properly on my nose, I adjusted it & she stopped the appointment to leave the room. I dont doubt Dr. Stephen Park is very knowledgeable, but his people skills leave A LOT to be desired. He explained things to me in a staccato way, as if dictating it, not as if talking to a person, I had to wait weeks to hear from him, he recommended long and not specific websites rather than help, and every time I had to talk to his assistant, it was a different person. That should have been a telling sign!

finally someone agrees! He is impatient, intolerant, moody explosive, very very impressive —-at the first one or two visits. snaps at you, Holds nothing back. you feel something bubbling below the surface. attentive at calling you back. I think he’s better if younger Expects you to remember what he told you when you getting out of sedation. irritated if you DON’T. Those who love him ......just don’t send your parents there!!!!!!!!!!!! nightmare
Stop! If you care about your health, do not go to this Doctor. Many, many years ago he was good and often recommended. You deserve better treatment.
