Unwilling to listen to anything complicated that doesn’t require her to turn the wheel and - unable to think critically. Nonresponsive and highly dismissive. I would not send my worst enemy to her. She should really find another profession that doesn’t involve interacting with people.
You don't get the sense that he is listening, he has already decided before you've spoken. Felt rushed. Didn't seem caring about the pain I was in. Missed a major problem found once I switched to a different gastro who listened to my symptoms. This put me through months and months of unnecessary pain until ultimately getting a major surgery to correct what was wrong all along and was easily diagnosed by an endoscopy that Dr Kim did not think I needed. Thank God I switched doctors and trusted my own gut, no pun intended.
She misdiagnosed me and was extremely flippant and dismissive about my suffering. I reached out to her several times when her treatments were not working. She responded saying that was all that could be done. After a year of consistent symptoms, my primary care doctor looked at the area and heard my symptoms and said she did not believe I had the condition that Okoji diagnosed me with and gave me a new referral.Dr. Okoji is highly arrogant. I had a standard procedure. She never came to my room prior. I was rolled into the exam room she was sitting at her computer and never even acknowledged me. I was nervous and given the sedation without a single word from her. After the procedure she stood against the wall of my room, never entered and said everything was fine. Had a terrible experience with this doctor. Google would do a better job. She lacks empathy, resists doing exams, prescribes strong meds, does not return messages, and acts like she is doing you a favor. NEVER AGAIN!
The good reviews seen here are shocking. I have met with her countless times and tried many different treatments with her and every time I see her its as if she forgets every detail of who I am completely. I am experiencing daily issues that impact my daily life greatly and she implies that I am making up my pain and symptoms. The receptionist refused to schedule an appointment & told me although I last saw a GI *YEARS* ago, this doctor will not accept any patient who has ever seen any other GI before. I’ve never heard of a such a policy anywhere else.
Incapable of practicing the art of medicine. Lacks creative problem solving skills. Also, when my appt was the last of the day, and no one before me for hours, had the secretary call to ask if i could come early. When i said i could not, the secretary called 5 minutes later to cancel the appt. Extremely unprofessional. I would have been charged for the appt if i did that to him.
Dr. Finkel did my colonoscopy several months ago and it was not a great experience. I recovered without complications. However, in the recovery area, he seemed annoyed with me that abdominal adhesions made the procedure more challenging than usual and it took longer than he’d expected.
