I don’t know how people are giving him good ratings. He is the least proactive doctor I have ever encountered. He never remembers my case/symptoms and sits there and reads the file in front of me, totally unprepared for our appointment. He never has a solution other than to “keep taking your medicine.” I had to keep following up to get colonoscopy results and then when I finally got him on the phone, he hadn’t looked at them and made up a diagnosis on the fly, which he changed later based on the same test results. Dr. Korman seemed unprofessional at some points in the visit. She wasted time repeating points which did not need repeating and which I came to the visit demonstrating that I already understood. She was sometimes awkward in attempts at "joking." She seemed inexperienced with managing a patient visit; there were times when the visit felt directionless and awkward. I was in the hospital a little over a year ago for a stomach bleed. While there they found a liver problem. Dr Zhang did a endoscopy and a colonoscopy and ordered massive blood test. When she was done she came out and told my daughter and my best friend I had to be watch and would most likely start to have mental problems and would most likely need a liver transplant. . I have been following up with him since 20012, never provided a concert solution or answer to my situation. Always overbooked and less care or attention to patient’s concern. He seems lacking professional passtion
Terrible - he won’t return phone calls from the patient or another doctor
Came after hospitalization with sharp pain. The doctor was plainly rude. He was more interested why did I came to see him instead my previous gastroenterologist than actually ask about my problems and listen. Bad unprofessional attitude: rude , demeaning, up to a point of being sarcastic. Needed to literally ask him to prescribe labs. All he wanted to give me is a higher dosage of my old meds. Zero start for Dr. J Genovese. I had an appointment with him for endoscopy and never took necessary images during the procedure. Had to be repeated at John’s hopkins. He referred me to another facility post endoscopy to get manommetry done. When we came back to discuss the manommetry results (6 weeks after which is the usual wait time) like we should have because he was the referring physician he was not prepared to discuss results with us.
