Does not listen to her patients. Very rude and has awful bed side manner.

Said my condition was caused by stress so I was talking to my job about taking time off work. Then she changes her story and suddenly and decides my condition is not caused by stress. She just goes in whichever direction the wind blows.

At first, I kind of liked Dr. Howard, she seemed interested and listened. Gradually though after prescribing several meds that didn't help, she lost interest in my issues. She's not your warm or empathic type, more a cold fish type. At the same time, the practice is/was a big issue, as Capital Digestive Care devolved from a mediocre office to a giant factory. Dr. Kallus was the assistant physician to my then doctor in 2017 for a colonoscopy I had done. He was awful. In the procedure room he was cold in speaking to me and I got the sense that he didn't want to be there. Dr. Kallus was responsible for discharging me, he never showed up to do so. The duty nurses called him he was not returning their calls. After about an hour after the procedure the last nurse that was there before I left said. This is ridiculous. i was barely 18 when i was diagnosed with crohn’s disease. immediately after being diagnosed i was put on humira. i had a nurse come out and teach me how to take the shot but the doctor had told me to reach out to her if i had needed help or for any follow up questions. i went to her about a follow up and she screamed at me in the middle of her office. she went into a completely unnecessary rant about personal responsibility and taking my disease seriously. all she succeed was making a very difficult situation worst. making ... read more

Initially, I gave Dr. Bolen 5 stars, he seemed like a professional doctor who was interested in my care as a new patient. But into the 3rd or 4th visit with him, he was a different doctor, he got highly annoyed with me, raised his voice to me and showed no interest in what I was there for. Why, because I was not agreeing with what he wanted me to do, medically, which was my right as a patient. That was my last visit with him. I went in for a Endoscopy. Right before getting the anesthesia I expressed my concerns and she was very dismissive and in a hurry to get the procedure done. After my procedure, I was woken up by the nurse and I immediately see Dr. Stephen walk in to explain the findings. Mind you, I am just waking up from being sedated and literally don't remember anything she said. I remember her quickly explaining in less than 2 min and almost rushing out. I usual do not do reviews or complain about experiences with Doctors. My Mother saw him 3 weeks ago and had a biopsy done. The experience was not a professional one. NO result on the biopsy and its been 3 weeks. She had a CT scan at his request a week ago and still no results. She has called his office and they scared her to death.
