Mom had a short stay at the Cupola .She enjoyed all aspects of this health care setting. Staff was more than accommodating to help mom acclimate to this new environment. Mom describes the Cupola as a hotel that meets her medical needs.
My dad has dementia. He was diagnosed 3 yrs ago. My husband and I care for him in our home. It has been a tough go, but,we really want to care for him until it becomes too much for us. That time is soon to be upon us. He will probably need to move in late 2016. I started looking at communities for when that time comes. I don't want to wait until something happens to dad. I came across Care One at Somerset valley last week. I let the counselor know what my concerns were and why I was starting to look. He advised that we coul... read more
Visted here on March 12th and met with Dianna. The place was nice. The residents did not seem necessarily happy overall and unfortunately Dianna was new to her position and could not answer all our questions. Like I said the place was nice but had an institutional feel about it.
My husband and I had been looking at assisted living communities in the Bridgewater area. We checked out a total of 4. They all seemed pretty similar until we went to this Care One community. First of all it was new and gorgeous. More importantly to us was that the memory care community offered everything we were looking for regarding my dad, who has recently been diagnosed with dementia. The community feels and acts like a high end hotel with staffing and nurses in the building all throughout the night. This is sooooooo i... read more
Great new building! My aunt and uncle moved in and are doing great. She was very resistant before making the move, so we started their respite program on a trial basis. Within a week my aunt wanted to become a permanent resident. We liked the rooms, but also the fact that they have rehabilitation on site and nurses 24 hours a day, which we could not find elsewhere. The family is spread out, but CareOne is central to everyone and we can get there pretty easily.
We toured the community for my dad. My husband and I are his caregivers. We are not sure if he will move there full time but... They have a no minimum stay all inclusive respite stay which really will help us. We scheduled an April and a July Respite stay for dad so that we could go away with confidence that he would be cared for while we are gone. This program is a god send!!! If you are looking for temporary help or to test a community, this is the way to go. At least it is for us.
Happy to have chosen careone for my mother!
My mother Dorothy moved into Care One at Livingston Assisted Living and she was displaced because her current living situation was no longer safe for her to be there. My mother is a proud, independent lady, who has always been able to care for herself and was a social butterfly. After her current apartment building was damaged and she was moved unexpectedly, I realized that I needed to find her a safe, secure, and social environment that would meet her needs and put my mind to rest. Since mom has moved in she has flourished ... read more
My mother has been at Care one for over 2 years. I can only say that this community was the "right fit" for my mom and her needs!
