Get directionsFacility appeared very nice and clean.
Very negative, unhappy, and unprofessional administrator (when shes even around). The culture of the building has changed due to this. A lot of staff turnover rate which means zero consistency. Truly disappointing this is acceptable.
Staff seem completely miserable due to toxic administration. Every time I come to the building, another staff member is leaving to go to another Harmony. Admin talks low of staff behind their back and lacks a lot of important emotions to work with such a vulnerable population. Very sad to see.
I toured this community and was overall not impressed. Everything told to us seemed scripted or made to feel you are getting some deal. The setup reminds me of a hospital rather than an assisted living. The place smelled good which is how it should be. Staff did not look very happy, were on their phones, and the administrator has a very negative presence. We felt very uncomfortable.
The facility has potential, but room sizes are very small, although you are told they are never in them. Food is decent, but never seems to be on time. The administrator is rude to both families and staff, regularly ignores family concerns, lacks empathy or motivation on wanting to do make this a better place. Everything is a sales pitch and promised to you just to get your money. The facility has seemed to experience a high turnover of staff which is concerning for both residents and loved ones for consistency.
My complaints are as follows: 1. Inadequate Pain Management: My wife, who had undergone two surgeries--one for her hip and another for her ankle--was in severe pain. Despite repeatedly requesting pain medication, her needs were not promptly addressed. The medication was provided only after significant and unnecessary delays, which caused her considerable distress. 2. Inexperienced and Undertrained Staff: It became clear that the staff lacked the necessary training or experience to handle patients in critical post-surgical re... read more
DO NOT submit your loved ones to Care One in Livingston! Staff is dismissive of ALL concerns, Food is horrible and full of sugar despite diabetes. Patients are screaming for help, and ignored, day and night. Nurses don't respond for 30 to 60 minutes to requests. Elderly patient (with dementia) was left to lay in diarhea for an hour and given no medication for it because it was on the floor and they needed "a sample." When family complained they tried "corporate smooz." He transfered to another facility!
We toured Harmony Village at CareOne Paramus during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. The facility itself was great. However, the staff did not seem good and seemed somewhat untrustworthy.
My mom was placed here after her second surgery within one month because she broke her hip and then her femur a month later. The staff wasn’t happy with her progress, so instead of increasing the therapy, they cut it way back and put her in the nursing home second section which smelled of urine and where there was no one to work with her. After numerous calls/meetings with the staff and director, it was decided that they would do a home visit with my mom In order to focus on the things she would need to learn to go back home... read more
