Get directionsDuring our search for Assisted Living for my mom, we toured CareOne at Somerset Valley. This facility seemed very institutional. We also felt that the staff was not friendly at this facility.
My mother is only a patient there 4 days and I can’t get in touch with her . Phone just rings & rings. Nurses desk no one answers phone either. My Mom had a stroke a while ago and needs a phone close to her to pick up. After reading the anonymous review below Im starting to get worried.
A friend of mine stayed here for rehab after a heart attack and blood clot issues. They lied about his progress so Medicare wouldn’t extend his stay. He is back in the hospital . Thankfully out of there. Thankfully still alive.
We picked this community because, it was the only place that would take my loved one. The communication needs to improve. The facility served a purpose for us. There is lots to say about how they communicated what they could do and what they actually did. In my view, this was a holding cell and my loved one made no progress while there - in part - because of mistakes and miscommunication on their part.
My loved one was moved from this location to another location due to COVID protocols. In addition to this, my loved one was on hospice receiving care from this outside agency, and my loved one was not allowed to have this care at the new CareOne location. After my loved one was moved to the new location of CareOne in King James my loved one did poorly here, and I feel my loved one was starved to death while at this new CareOne location. I can't recommend either CareOne location due to the seriousness decline of my loved one'... read more
If you want to die or get rid of elderly parents this is the best place on the planet. The staff don't care, nurses Give Wrong or forget to give medication, nurse practitioner runs like a chicken without a head and doesn't even listen to you, doctor A is indifferent and dieticians are none existence and forget to put the dietary in the computer so they definitely help with end of life. Maintenance is over worked and bring none working equipment and beds to your room just to kill and buy time. Nursing director tries but he is... read more
When my loved one first moved in, the community was Symphony at Cherry Hill. However, recently they have been taken over by Care One, and in the last six months, there have been two increases that totaled [rate removed]. My loved one with moderate dementia needs only moderate care. When I called and asked them about the increases, they said they're hiring more people, upgrading the facility, and generally increasing their services and quality. But the increase in price is astounding. With the change in ownership, so far the ... read more
The community looks beautiful and is kept clean, but alot of unfulfilled promises. We were told our mother would be checked on throughout the night and that clearly was not happening. I just feel that because the residents can't speak for themselves, you have to be on top of things to make sure they are happening. It's alot of money to check that they're doing their job.
Lately room cleaning and laundry services frequently have been declining. Also, it seems that staff has to be alerted more frequently about issues relative to the resident.’s physical conditions. On a scale of 1 —5 relative to value of service, at best a 2 1/2. Some what over priced.
