i use to think this place was OK until a bad experience with one of the vets. In that situation, I felt like I was dealing with a student focused on sales rather than an experienced vet. She was way off on her diagnosis and was playing a guessing game (which would require lots of tests). I am so glad I got other opinions and treatment elsewhere. We've been depending on the remarkable team at Caring Hands in Merrifield for our current dog's health needs since we adopted him (2020). In addition to helping their patients and families, they support many rescue organizations in our area, which is how we met them. There are many vet clinics and hospitals closer to us and more convenient, and I'm sure they're probably good, but when I need help I can count on, the staff and doctors at Caring Hands in Merrifield are always there for us. Every time.
We are a long time Caring Hands-Merrifield family. I have been very pleased with the sensitive care my dog has been receiving for the past 11 years. The staff, the techs, and the vets are skilled, thoughtful, and attentive listeners. My Little Boy will never be excited to go to the vet, but he does understand that they are the Good Guys and this makes a huge difference. I strongly recommend!
The staff is always friendly. Our girls are doing so well on their visits. During the puppy phase there are a lot of trips to the vet. So, it is great that they are excited by the experience. Over a year later and the girls are still excited about seeing their friend Dr. Loeffler!!!
