Caring Hands -Merrifield is a wonderful practice. We have been bringing our dogs to this vet for many years. Our latest dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog "Alfie" and they take such good care of him. They are professional, kind, and I can't say enough good things about the practice.

5 stars for quality of care, communication, and ease of scheduling. I've been going to Caring Hands (Merrifield) for over 5 years. They've taken excellent care of both of our cats. And there have been emergency situations where they exceeded expectations. Thank you! Also, a special thank you to Dr. Vanderhoof for being exceptional in every aspect while helping us through a very difficult time with one of our cats a few years ago.
Our feline was overdue for some shots and and an exam. My wife took her here yesterday, It was our first visit here and the staff and doctor were excellent. Everyone treated our little Gracie so kindly and professionally. Now she is all up to date on her shots and felling frisky and happy. We changed vet practices for reasons I won't go into here but suffice it to say we have had to adjust our lifestyle to that of a fixed income couple at this stage of our lives and the services and cost here were mor in line with what ... read more
Dr. Lua and Dr. Loeffler - along with the entire staff - are terrific. They are kind, compassionate, and nonjudgmental - and they truly care about the animals. They offer rational courses of action to identify and treat issues, which is welcome after being told in the past by another vet that I should brush my cat's teeth every day, and above all, they listen.
I am very grateful for the compassion and kindness shown by the staff at Caring Hands Hospital. We lost our older cat Sanaga, had to be euthanized recently. The vet and the technician were very caring of my feelings at that stressful time, and made sure that my pet was comfortable until the end. This is not the first time they had to euthanize one of my pets, a year back I lost my young Samoyed, compassion, care and thoughtfulness they provided till the end will forever be in my heart. Always the best care for my pets. Friendly and caring. Been taking my pets here since I moved to the area in 2009. Close and convenient as well and never have to wait too long in the waiting area. Five stars!
As a K9 Handler, the staff at Caring Hands not only meets but exceeds my high standards for a vet office with every visit. The staff are extremely knowledgable and helpful. If I could give a 6th star, I would.
