I took my dog Bella to Caring Hands for several years for serious illnesses, and I was always impressed by the professionalism. At the end of her life, our dog was very sick, and we were going to Caring Hands a lot. All the little conveniences made it easier (open 7 days a week!). And that's not to say anything about their kindness (they would let us know when someone canceled so that we could get an earlier appointment). The team at Caring Hands is amazing! My puppy Willow broke her toe and they took great care of her. Throughout the weeks long ordeal they provided me with the support I needed to survive, all the while proving my pup top notch medical care. The vets spent time with me, the techs call me back at all hours, and they were kind and supportive. I highly recommend this vet!

A year ago I noticed blood in my dog's urine. We took him to our regular vet who agreed with my husband's guess that the bones our dog ate caused the bleeding. The bleeding stopped for an entire year. Started up again a few weeks ago and this time it did not stop. We tried to get an appointment but our vet gave a trillion reasons why she could not book him and referred us to a local emergency hospital which told us that blood in the urine is not an emergency. We have always been very happy with all of the doctors and staff at Caring Hands, where we bring our cat and two dogs for their regular appointments. One of our babies had an emergency situation this summer and was in the emergency hospital for two days. All of our appointments at Caring Hands leading up to the emergency stay and for follow ups afterward were so helpful and reassuring. Dr. Madigan in particular has been wonderful getting through this. Thank you!!!

I want to thank all the helpful and caring staff today for checking out my kitty for any medical issues with her spine. My Clover seemed to be having arthritic conditions recently and I was concerned that something was wrong when she meowed at me almost like she was in a lot of pain. The staff was so understanding and creative with their "clear" approach in handling a drop off and exam, since I could not go into their office during COVID time. Caring Hands Animal Hospital at Merrifield VA is wonderful, A++. Dr. Patrick Hilson provided excellent healthcare for our schnauzer who had signs of rear legs weakness. Dr Hilson was very kind, thorough and provided us with great info on how to care for our dog's condition. The Caring Hands Animal Hospital is very easy to find with plenty of close parking. My dog, Indy, got sick the morning after Christmas, and Caring Hands was kind enough to get him in immediately. When the vet saw Indy, she told us that we'd only be charged a regular appointment fee instead of an urgent care visit because she'd had a cancellation and subbed us into her schedule. They took great care of my pup and got him on the mend right away, and all at a very reasonable price. Love this place!

We took our husky mix to here since we moved around this area. Getting appointment was a little confusing since I did it online. It showed that the appointment time was available, so i booked it, then they said it wasn't available, but then sent another email saying the other person cancelled. So i guess lesson learned is to call to make an appointment and not use their online appointment request.
