I needed boots for a wedding I am standing in & knew that Cavender's would have a ton of variety. I had done some research beforehand on the website & found two specific pairs that I wanted to see in person. Before walking into the store an associate that was standing outside, greeted us. So, an Austin native introduced me to Cavender's and I am so glad she did! If there is one souvenir you take back from Austin, it should be a cowboy hat or a pair of boots (BOTH if you're fearless!) from Cavender's. You do need a car or bus to make it out to the store. Cavender's has the widest selection of cowboy boots most of you will ever see and all are locally made. The cowboy hats are also beautiful. I called the store looking for a particular boot. Fernanda's beautiful,friendly and eager to help voice was so inviting. I get to the store and this beautiful young lady asked if I needed help? I responded yes Fernanda is holding pair of boots for me. Will to my surprise this be beautiful young lady was Fernanda!! Omg beautiful, friendly and sweet. It may feel a little overpriced, but you get what you pay for! And they have such a wide variety of options. They don't sell anything that is less than high-quality, And every purchase is backed fully by the company as well as the employees. Friendly customer service that is helpful, this place is an icon if you're entertaining folks from out of town, you got a swing in and buy hats and boots and things :-)
A very helpful and friendly salesperson assisted me in finding a great pair of boots for my wife. I was greeted promptly upon entering and had no service issues whatsoever the whole visit. They've got a lot of belt, hats and other western clothes, but I was just there to get boots. Boot selection was good - maybe a little overwhelming. Again, the salesperson helped me narrow it down to a few styles and I was in/out of there in less than 30mins. Would definitely come back when I'm in Austin again.
I've probably bought 40 pair of boots from here in the last 10 years. The staff is always helpful and extremely knowledgeable about the different brands, exotic hides, tanning process etc. My sons got their first pair here, my wife has several birthday boots from here, and I'm constantly buying client appreciation, promotional gifts and work boots for Veterans in addiction recovery. A top notch operation and great people.
Huge space full of country wear from top to bottom! They sell women's, children, and men's apparel, accessories (belts and purses), hats, and boots. I was offered help throughout my shopping process. The reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is because they didn't have the right size to a couple of the clothes that I wanted and when I asked, they didn't go and check in the back for me.
