I mistakenly thought the battery was not charging. Brought car in to Courtesy Nissan because if parts needed replacing I wanted genuine Nissan parts to be installed. Courtesy Nissan INCORRECTLY diagnosed the alternator as not providing any current to charge the battery. I did not understand how the car charged the battery. Further investigation on the Internet provided more information to me. Courtesy Nissan replaced the alternator for a cost of about $1500.00. The current staff was extremely nice and helpful. From both Service Managers, the Service Advisor to the mechanic explaining some things to me. The problems are that what I paid for was not the issue that brought me in, and that none of them know the lies I was told nor the actual repairs that were charged on prior visits with previous staff. I presented a $1 coupon for Texas State vehicle inspection to my SA Joe. He told me I would have to make another purchase at the regular price to use the coupon. I showed him that there's no restrictions spelled out in the email coupon and I had called a Courtesy agent on the phone prior to arriving to the dealership to confirm that there were no such restrictions.
