Avoid. I'm HIV positive and was a client with a primary care physician there UNTIL now. In January, I called to ask about a COVID test because I had been exposed. I was then JUDGED for how I was exposed. He SNICKERED and then asked " ... why?" I was like OH F NO! lol And then he AND his supervisor took me to task. A third woman called me back and DRESSED ME DOWN for not licking their boots and then said "But. We had a cancelation. You can come in at 3." Please for anyone that needs hiv care deserts AIDS project is nothing more than a big boys club and if your not one of there chose you will not get any help care. I was not told I was with a dr Mary Miller that only works Tuesday and Thursday. I need a real dr not a 2 day a week dr my health issues don't only happen on tuesday. Yelp wanna play stupid games and removed my earlier review for not enough information so ...settle in, here we go: 3 weeks ago we went into DAP for a Covid Test and were told that as soon as the results were back they would both call and email us. Fast forward to today when we called to ask why we had not received a call or email, they connected us to the Medical director who's response was: you could have called us or emailed us...really? This is the most unorganized medical facility in Palm Springs. The doctors are horrible. The staff, which is mostly volunteer, is mediocre. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing. They have seriously injured patients who attended their care. And it's the last place in the world that I would recommend anyone go for HIV care. The caseworkers are do-nothings who sit around and collect their salaries and make their clients do all the work. So you cannot rely on them for assistance. The social work departmen... read more

When this organization first originated I would assume 30+ years ago it probably was a godsend. But over the last decade or longer it is just been a for profit organization. Funding is through Ryan White, Riverside County Health and Human Services and other grants. they used to provide their clients up until May 2019 a $50 month gift card to Stater brothers that has been eliminated due to the state of California now giving food stamps to those that don't make enough money. The only reason DAP gets 2 stars is that, for some, this place may be their last hope, and, be "adequate" enough and grossly needed. For the rest of us. Don't expect you'll get anywhere. They are understaffed and "undercaring". Don't expect returned calls or emails from the many contacts that you may need to require here. I won't name names, but "if the shoe fits, wear it!" Clearly, most of you need to change employers.

They WORST place to get a knowledgeable Real Dr. have to say my experience was below -0 percent . They could not get my blood work because I did not use there " preferred blood place they send you too" and because you use your one they say , they did not get all the test they requested. BS They are below expertise of any health professionals

Since I have been a patient of DAP, it has been very frustrating to even get the referral. DAP always says they do not get it and the healthcare facility sending it is always correct in sending it and can actually provide me with the authorization number of the referral. What is the problem? It is with the young lady that works at The Dock. I had a F/U visit about 4-6 weeks ago. Since my referral expired after that visit, I was unable to schedule a F/U until the referral was obtained by DAP. The young lady at The Dock ... read more

This place is GARBAGE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE I was 5 minutes late for an appointment and they told me that I have to be 15 minutes early and they asked the doctor if he would see me and he said no this is ridiculous what nonsense they think because they serve marganilized groups that they can treat us this way I now have to come back in a week this is ridiculous and they will punish me!
