Not User Friendly, Terrible Battery Life This is without doubt the worst scanner I have ever used. The quality of the scans is not the issue. The issue is that it is not what was advertised. I wanted a truly portable, truly wireless scanner. On the surface this is exactly that. It has a battery and connecting it to my wireless network was easy. Can't scan at 600/1,200 DPI with mobile app I bought the DS940DW specifically for use on the go, but the mobile app is just awful. For example, it can't scan at 600 DPI or 1,200 DPI (which the scanner is advertised as being able to do), can't scan to PDF files, etc. The scanner is also capable of "unconnected" scanning to an SD card, but the mobile app can't talk with the scanner to view scanned images (so there's no way to confirm if the scans are good), can't be used to delete failed scans, etc. This may be a good scanner.... read more
Wasn’t Mac Compatible Support was no help , specifically bought this model for wireless and Mac compatibility. Never worked
Temperamental It puts itself to sleep even when plugged into the computer. Often, it can't re-recognize in the software without rebooting the entire system after it auto shuts off> Caused Blue screen lockups multiple times per day. I loved my DS_720D and bought this one based on that experience. This is a piece of Garbage.
I wanted to like this scanner but couldn’t I was happy with the small size and “apparent” ease of use but disappointed when actually used it. Before taking this down I must say that it was easy to use hooked up to a laptop but that’s it. The good reviews are probably for document scan but pic scan was mediocre at best. First, Amazon recommended a 128gb SD card, and for the price I got one but never checked (silly me) and realized it wouldn’t work because a 32gb is the max for this scanner. So sick of wifi false marketing There are a lot of scanners out there who claim to use wifi technology in the scanner. This maybe does. I couldn't get it to work. I don't want to have to watch several YouTube videos and search web documents just to get this to work on wifi.

Save your money and time, avoid the fustration, do not buy this product. Only 1 feature of the 3 most noted worked. Scan to computer worked after 30 minutes set up call with CS. Scan to SD Card failed. Bought two cards to test out and over 2 hours with CS and it never worked. The portability to scan to SD card was the main reason to purchase a small portable unit, but this product failed miserable. Customer was left out of the equation I would probably have given a high rating, had I got to see the thing actually work. It felt robust, and had a lot of great features. The software actually came with it, no bait and switch. That said, out of the box and following the directions, I scanned in minutes. Then, was doing something else for a few minutes.
