Price and battery problem You must connect to a computer to charge the battery, that annoying. Luckily, I found that my smart TV can charge it. The most important issue is that its price decreased $40usd after my purchase within 2 weeks! rubbish!

Definitely not intuitive Have owned several other scanners prior to this one. The manual is dismal. Not even the basics for using and not clear in the set up for using with a computer, which I would assume is fairly common. The website has been down ALL DAY for maintenance... so no help there. The download was more complicated than most and the scanning is very cumbersome. My epson was just stick it in and go. No OCR The software that Brother says comes with this scanner has been unavailable for a long time. I started trying to get it over a week ago but still cannot and Brother does not publish an expected availability date. Don't waste your money on this product.
not linux compatible, don't bother Waste of time, logistics cost and product. Item advertised as "linux compatible" but available drivers are barebone functional. Cannot setup without Win/OSX application to configure scanning settings. Cannot set up to scan multiple pages into one .pdf (as advertised). Cannot connect to associated "Brother iPrint&Scan" application although it is recognizable to the "Mopria Scan" application.
Very difficult to setup Even after getting in touch with the tech support I was not able to get the scanner to work with my device. Sent it back, don't recommend this product.
A bit overcomplicated, and can't hold a charge I purchased this scanner to scan incoming mail/bills I received that I needed to action. It's really portable, has a decent companion app and works pretty well. That said, here are some things you REALLY should know before you buy it * The battery does not hold a charge. Buggy firmware, constant feed errors, pages cut off I attempted to get into the web-based control panel to configure various settings, but after navigating a page or two you are immediately logged out. I went to go upgrade the firmware, thinking that issue would be fixed in a later version, but upgrading the firmware REQUIRES Windows and the proprietary Windows drivers; I have read that some Mac users have had success but it doesn't always work.
