Poorly managed. Front Staff and Manager are obnoxious, unfriendly and just plain jerks. Save your money. There's a really place in Yucaipa. Better prices, better staff!
My dog hasn't been feeling well, and I took him to East Valley last week for an exam. After a very brief examination, the doctor recommended a dermatological procedure and teeth cleaning before doing any additional testing. I am glad I trusted my instincts and got a second opinion, because he has severe pancreatitis and needs urgent treatment. We have been going to East Valley for almost a decade but will never feel safe bringing a pet here again. I wish I could leave negative stars.
After starting off on a good note for our first pets with East Valley, it quickly became clear that this hospital is not doing a good enough job of caring for its animals and being transparent with its clients. My wife and I have experienced enough issues that we will no longer be using their services in the future. This hospital's outrageous prices and inability to properly diagnose issues with pets -- while making the clients continue to pay for follow-up visits due to their misdiagnoses -- have proven to be too much.
When I first took Bella there, it was fantastic. I felt they were a very caring staff. That has changed and I will not take Bella back there. Today was the final straw. I checked in ten minutes before my appointment. Was placed in a room at my appointment time and proceeded to wait in the room for 45 minutes. They placed us in the room that I had requested not to be in because it has a bunch of windows that Bella could see outside and she is dog reactive. Dogs constantly walking by caused her to bark and become stresse... read more
Do not recommend! Took my daughter's fur baby there for the hardest decision of our lives. Euthanasia...she had cancer. What should have been a quick painless process turned into 2 and a half hours of hell. They were having problems placing the catheter so instead of sedating her they proceeded to tightly bind her snout and muzzle her all the while trying over and over to insert the catheter in her tiny arm. Mind you she was 14 years old and had cancer..she was 11 pounds.. This went on for an hour while my daughter and I lis... read more
Dropped off my cat for spay surgery Thursday, 3/21/2024 at 7:45 am. The assistant did not want to provide us an estimate of when they going to call me when surgery is done. Instead, she said your cat needs to be picked up by 6PM. Front desk won't let me fill the form out at the counter - she said she is checking out other patients. We were the only ones there. Terrible customer service, unprofessional, and all they want is your money. Will take our pets elsewhere.
Be careful about giving medicine prescribed by this place. Half of the time they will prescribe medicine that isn't available and some of the time they'll prescribe medicine without addressing its risks with the pet owners or taking time beforehand for testing and diagnosis... if going to this vet means always needing a second opinion from a different vet, might as well skip this vet in the first place!
I've been using East Valley Pet Hospital for a couple years. Today, I had an appointment to get my dogs vaccinated. The appointment took over an hour and then at the end the tech told me they didn't have one of the vaccines available. Why wouldn't you have notified me of this prior to making the appointment? Huge waste of time.
I used to rave about this hospital. But seems like they are going downhill. Beware: if you have an appt, and the doctor calls out, they'll prioritize walk-ins over those who have had an appt or will tell you to go to the nearest ER. You'd think they would try to get their APPTS seen but nope.
