We called Excel Plumbing when we had a sewer smell in our basement. Ronnie came out and figured out right away what our issue was. He suggested installing a cleanout in our front yard to access the sewer line. We took his advice and after the cleanout was installed, he hydro blasted the sewer pipes, to eliminate any roots/clogs. I highly recommend Excel plumbing. Ronnie was extremely informative and explained everything to us throughout the entire process.

We had a sewer line filled with roots. No backup yet, but it was only a matter of time. Yuri and Brandon hydro jetted the line and I now have no worries about an issue with this for a long time to come. Plus they took my coupon and I saved 100 dollars. Thanks!

Business response:

Hi Elaine, Thanks for letting us know you were happy with our service. We appreciate the kind words and we know we are lucky to have customers like you. We are here for you should you need any plumbing services in the future. Best, Maureen

Purchased water heater from this company about 5 years ago. They told me that the water heater I had before was too fancy and I should go with Bradford White model. Fast forward to today, water heater stopped heating and needed a new control valve which should be under warranty. They initially quoted me $455 with the part included and then modified it to all labor when I complained. It took technician 1 hour to install. How is $455? Disappointed on the original purchase and by the response for repair. Will not be usin... read more

My technician was great but $460 to perform a maintenance checkup up on a tankless water heater seems really high to me!

Dispatcher Kelly and manager Tom were extremely unprofessional. They aught to know by now even if you don't agree, the customer is always right and figure it out after. Only saving grace was Bob who came out first time around. Not sure he was on the right track but he worked his ass off and was beyond friendly and professional. To Tom and Kelly - you are NOT plumbers, quit acting like you are. You both know what I'm talking about. They argued with me!!! Who does that whether I'm right or wrong, you just don't do that if you ... read more

We were charged $250.00 to unscrew and and screw in a new showerhead which retails for approximately $60.00. We were also charged $285.00 each to replace two faucet cartridges. Total retail approximately $40.00. Total bill $738.00. After a phone call they credited me $100.00. Still, $638.00 for less than an an hour labor? Really!!

Business response:

Hi Sandy, We apologize that your experience did not meet your expectations. We are always upfront and transparent with our pricing, which gives the customer the option of declining our services. Our GPS tracker also shows the plumber was working for close to 3 hours. This includes time to get the material that was not truck-stock. Material is also taxed and slightly marked up to cover warranty. It leaves it closer to $435 for the almost 3 hours to assess the problem, get the material and do the work. I'm sorry that you feel... read more

Had an ejector pump fail that Excel had installed 6 months prior. They would not warranty the pump because they said it was clogged but could not provide proof or photos. The plumber used our kids you bin lid to protect his knees from sewage and then put it back like it was fine. He "finished" without resealing the ejector pump lid and left the exhaust unconnected to the external line so it reeked like sewage all through the house. We asked Excel to confirm he re-sealed it and they confirmed he did. They sent him back out th... read more

Business response:

I am sorry for your poor experience. I can't excuse our tech not ringing your bell or sealing the pit on the first visit. That was poor behavior and I won't defend it. In regards to the pump I would be glad to send a picture of the pump with the wipes in it. I don't know why it wouldn't have been sent to you already. Unfortunately, wipes or paper towels get wedged inside the impeller and burn out the motor. As much as we pull out there is a high likelihood that the manufacturer will find remnants and reject the warranty. W... read more

My management company called Excel out to deal with a clogged soil pipe. They came out at the end of the day which I thought was great as having an unusable toilet is difficult. I gave them my contact info and helped them get things figured out. When I left they were dealing with the unit owner whose toilet was affected. When I came back the next morning there was a literal piece of excrement left on top of the floor drain in the area of the basement where they accessed the clean out. At first I thought it might have ba... read more
