I had a great experience using the Extra Space Storage in El Segundo. Lisa, the Manager of this location is Amazing!! I was going out to California for a work assignment and needed to use her facility for a few weeks and the company that I was traveling across the country for kept changing the dates on me and Lisa was very patient and worked with me as the dates kept changing, She knew I lived in Maryland and that this was only a temporary reservation so it would have been easy for her to just say "screw it" and not bother ... read more

I see what the other comments are saying and I have used a lot of other storage companies and so far Lisa & Andrew have been so great to work with. They have been up front with all cost and the place is very clean and well managed. In terms of carts I had no problems finding a cart at the facility. If people would put back the carts where it should be would it would not be a problem. So people do your homework and stop complaining.

Began storing my belongings at this facility on East El Segundo Boulevard in the city of El Segundo (CA) approximately 7 years ago. At that time, the storage facility manager, Lisa and Associate, Mark, were a dynamic, professional customer service-oriented duo. No longer true. December 30, 2024 | received this injury due to this protruding foot-long piece of metal Sticking from the wall around a blind corner. I asked for a Band-Aid in the front office, and was scoffed at. "We don't give customers bandaids. Do you think we're a Pharmacy?" I had to go to the emergency room, Had to get a tetanus shot, Had to go on antibiotics, missed two weeks of work, and now six weeks later have a lifelong scar. Extra Space storage? Before the access hours change, I would be happy to give this place 5 stars. But sorry, Mark. 1 star it is. I've had a storage room here for several years. Everything has been good, even managing all the frequent rate increases. However, they recently changed their access hours which makes it near impossible for people with full time jobs during the week to get any storage-related things done on the weekend. Access hours stop at 7pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. How is anybody supposed to move on the weekends with these kin... read more

Easy to sign up. Beware though, a few months into my agreement I recieved a notice and my rate was increased $70/Month (essentially doubled my inital rate) .
