Began storing my belongings at this facility on East El Segundo Boulevard in the city of El Segundo (CA) approximately 7 years ago. At that time, the storage facility manager, Lisa and Associate, Mark, were a dynamic, professional customer service-oriented duo. No longer true. December 30, 2024 | received this injury due to this protruding foot-long piece of metal Sticking from the wall around a blind corner. I asked for a Band-Aid in the front office, and was scoffed at. "We don't give customers bandaids. Do you think we're a Pharmacy?" I had to go to the emergency room, Had to get a tetanus shot, Had to go on antibiotics, missed two weeks of work, and now six weeks later have a lifelong scar. Extra Space storage? Before the access hours change, I would be happy to give this place 5 stars. But sorry, Mark. 1 star it is. I've had a storage room here for several years. Everything has been good, even managing all the frequent rate increases. However, they recently changed their access hours which makes it near impossible for people with full time jobs during the week to get any storage-related things done on the weekend. Access hours stop at 7pm on Saturday and 4pm on Sunday. How is anybody supposed to move on the weekends with these kin... read more

They broke into my unit within 2 weeks of signing up and and took all my valuables so be careful ..

Easy to sign up. Beware though, a few months into my agreement I recieved a notice and my rate was increased $70/Month (essentially doubled my inital rate) .

DO NOT PUT VALUABLES! From December 27, 2021 to June 29, 2022 (approx 6 months) there has been 4 break-ins to individual units on just my row of units. I had my unit broken into and my ebike was stolen December 27, 2021. My neighbors unit was broken into with several items stolen. Again my unit was broken into on June 22-23rd, 2022. The only staff member that's does a good job is Adrian, the rest of the regular staff are useless. Avoid this storage facility if you can.

Proceed with caution before trusting your items here with these people. They auctioned my items due to administrative error. They have refused to communicate any information with me since then. Needless to say, their reviews have tanked over the past couple of months, and I'm not surprised. I've been renting here for a few months. They recommended me to move into a storage unit that did not fit all of my stuff. The day I moved in, it is over the weekend, I realized that the hallways were too narrow to get my mattress etc into my unit. Had to hold my other items elsewhere. No one was on site to assist with switching units AND their emergency line didn't work (can you imagine getting locked in a storage facility with no emergency line to call but 911, smh).
