The worst storage! I paid over $200.00 per month; for that price, it was way too difficult to get one of the too few parking spaces available and then if you can, you have to move your filled cart (if you can locate one) up and down the steep slope, back and forth to your vehicle. Steer clear of this storage facility...way too cumbersome! If I could show negative stars I would! They will increase your rent any time and for any amount. My rent has increase by 25.7% within 15 months! They do not tell you before you sign the contract that they can and will adjust your rent any time and for any amount!

I had a smaller storage unit here in the past and now I currently have a larger one. The price stayed the same for the 2 years I used the small storage unit. However, the rent for the larger unit has already increased twice in one year. It seems that they know the customer is less likely to be moving from a larger unit so they use that thought to jack up the rent. Unfortunately, I will not be keeping my items here in the future.

This is the first storage unit I've ever rented, really good price, right next to work, super clean. When i came in the sales girl was very ill she was wiping things down with lysol wipes and sniffling and complaining how she shouldnt even be working because Shes sooo sick. I gave her antibacterial hand wipes and bought myself a bottle of Airborne. I still got sick. TOTAL RIPOFF !! STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES !! They have units burglarized all of the time. Their prices are way too HIGH compared to local competitors ! The WITCH that is the manager flies to work on her broom and is a TOTAL BITCH !! Absolutely NO COMPASSION for her long time tenants. They lock you out of your rental unit in the blink of an eye. I've been trying to rent a unit from this facility for a week. I have made 3 visits in that time and was only able to get into the office and speak to a manager on one occasion. Today I was greeted by a sign that stated "the manager will be back at 2:00pm" (mind you the manager called me yesterday and told me to come down anytime before 5:30pm today) so I figured I'd wait around and in the process came across these giant 1 1/2" cockroaches!! I think I might find another establishment to store my valuables.

I probably give Extra Space in El Segundo 2.5 stars. I would like to give it a higher ranking, because the resident manager is very sweet and helpful. She is a true professional and runs a tight ship here. But there are two major problems with this place (and they are not attributable to her at all): (1) The advertised price on the website and elsewhere does NOT include mandatory insurance that Extra Space Storage FORCES you to purchase from them. BEWARE! The facility in El Segundo cost me dearly. In less than one year, they have been burglarized by thieves at least twice that I know of. I should have avoided this facility after reading in the news that this facility was burglarized a few months prior, but I thought they had learned from that experience and had improved their security with more cameras. What a poorly managed facility. The rear roll-up door is inoperable more than not, there are 4 carts for the entire facility - and they're LOCKED, so you can't use them after 6pm?!! Rediculous. However, they do consistently and timely increase the montly fees annually. I hate this place. I started off at $65 5 years ago, and am now at $100. What a joke.
