A lovely location and building that feels like a smart boutique hotel. For my mum I think it’s like being on holiday. The friendly, professional team have been looking after my mother for over a year now, and I can honestly say it’s a huge relief she is being cared for so well. Although confused with her deteriorating Alzheimer’s condition, emotionally she seems happy and content as the team keep her safe and entertained.

I cannot thank the staff at Fernhill House enough for all they do for my mother-in-law. For her birthday this month, we had a wonderful family lunch, with fizz and cake and everyone made her day really special. The home is immaculate, and the food is delicious. The staff are caring, compassionate and professional. Thank you!

My husband went into Fernhill House Care Home after a fall at home, the in hospital for four weeks. The hospital; advised nursing home care (as I am 80). My daughter and I reviewed this beautiful home and decided it was best. It was the right decision. My husband has the best loving care until he passed away. I can't recommend it high enough. Thank you Fernhill House Care Home.

My mother-in-law who lives with us, went into Fernhill House Care Home for a period of respite in March 2022 while my husband and I were away. My mother-in-law gets very anxious when she is taken out of her normal environment. The staff could not have been any more welcoming and could not have made her feel any more comfortable. We found Fernhill House for my Dad who was in hospital for 4 weeks, with dementia and very poor mobility. The day before he was transferred my Mum and I went to see Dad's room and took some of his familiar things, including some books of his interests. The day he arrived the staff sat with him, talking about the books and made him feel very comfortable after his traumatic 4-week hospital stay. Sadly my Dad was discharged from hospital into Fernhill House, for end-of-life care, following a severe stroke. He was only at Fernhill House for a short time, but I cannot fault the care he received and the compassion that all the staff showed for him, myself and my family. This was a very difficult time for all concerned but I felt reassured that Dad was in the best possible place at this time. Thanks to all concerned.

Excellent care. Professional. Impressed with high levels of provision. During mum's stay, we were so happy with her care and attention she received was incredible. She enjoyed the food, entertainment and company provided by the care home during the lockdown. Staff assisted mum using Facetime and facilitated phone calls to her family. We were greatly reassured that Mum was in a fantastic caring professional place. Her room was lovely and she was always content when we spoke to her.
