Sadly my Dad was discharged from hospital into Fernhill House, for end-of-life care, following a severe stroke. He was only at Fernhill House for a short time, but I cannot fault the care he received and the compassion that all the staff showed for him, myself and my family. This was a very difficult time for all concerned but I felt reassured that Dad was in the best possible place at this time. Thanks to all concerned.

Excellent care. Professional. Impressed with high levels of provision. During mum's stay, we were so happy with her care and attention she received was incredible. She enjoyed the food, entertainment and company provided by the care home during the lockdown. Staff assisted mum using Facetime and facilitated phone calls to her family. We were greatly reassured that Mum was in a fantastic caring professional place. Her room was lovely and she was always content when we spoke to her.

Fernhill is a wonderful setting, the facilities are excellent, all is very new and everything is in very good condition. The food is first class, the restaurant and bistro are lovely. Bedrooms are immaculate, and the ancillary services, hairdressing, nails and cinema are all like a top-end hotel. I am extremely grateful for the wonderful care that my Nan received during her short stay (3.5 months) at Fernhill House. I honestly believe there is nowhere else I would have preferred her to be. In addition to the dedicated care and support given to Nan, the staff we very attentive and supportive to all of our family too. It really is such a beautiful care home with a fantastic team within it.

I wish to thank everyone at Fernhill House for looking after me so well during my recent time in respite there. I found all the staff very kind; sensitive to my needs and concerned for my wellbeing. I was treated with dignity and respect. I also enjoyed my vegetarian meals. A big thank you and I look forward to my next visit.

I wish to thank everyone for looking after my husband so well during his recent stay for respite. It meant a great deal to me knowing he was well settled, very much appreciated, and he liked the staff and enjoyed his vegetarian meals. When I visited, he was always in good spirits and cheerful and well cared for. Thank you also for being so supportive to me. All much appreciated.

When we were looking for a dementia care home for a very dear friend near to where we live, we visited quite a number of homes in the area. The first impression when entering a care home is always important as there are plenty that as soon as you enter you cannot wait to leave, but if you are a visitor and walk into Fernhill House, the atmosphere is fabulous with a lot of attention to detail for residents as well as visitors. We’re so pleased for our mum to be at Fernhill House, it’s such a lovely place. The staff are so lovely and the dedication to the residents is second to none. Everyone has been very accommodating and very helpful. During COVID-19 the online gateway has been a wonderful tool for us to see how Mum has been getting on, we are so grateful to have this information at our fingertips.
