I have visited this location THREE TIMES now. Each time for different services. A bit of background- I'm a cosmetologist. I understand coloring and hair cutting. I have never received such an awful coloring/cut as I have at gene Juarez. This particular occasion, I gave specific instructions to match the color that was already on my head. Just match the roots. I was super excited to get my hair done and had been saving up for along time to get a FULL balayage. I went and showed lots of pictures just to be let down. I spent so much money on something that makes me want to cry when I look in the mirror. It's so stripy and not want I wanted at all. I have really been contemplating on writing this review because over all the staff is always so nice and welcoming, the hairstylist was extremely sweet. But I just was not happy with my results especially when bleaching your hair is not cheap and I'm going on vacation... so who doesn't want freshly done hair for vacation!? Got my hair done in Redmond for the first time...the two girls that did my hair were nice and did there jobs well ...I can't say it for the management when I was booked for the appointments there is no break down for what the procedure would be, just the total amount of $264.00 in a email and mentioning They where looking forward to seeing me... I wish, I wish with all my heart they had turned me away once they saw I had curly hair.... The girl cutting my hair had no idea what to do with me... I recently lost a large amount of weight and received a gift card for Gene Juarez as a congratulations gift. I decided with my weight loss I wanted a new look: chunky bangs with lots of voluminous layering- what I got was an uneven mess that I am not even sure how to fix... the bangs are completely uneven; the layers make me look like a mushroom... it's bad. Made an appt for cut and color; asked for a hair melt, which is like a balayage and they scheduled me for base color. When I told them they got it wrong, they refused to do my hair and wouldn't do anything to make the situation right. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere people will work with you.

If you call to change a service ask to be transferred to the studio that your service is at. Each time I call to change an appointment the appointment is cancelled by the call center. I've arrived two times to find that my appointment was cancelled.

Terrible experience. I have come to this place many times. I always got average service for the amount of money they charge. It was never great or the greatest, however I was always able to book my appointment, come and get the service I requested. My daughter and I had taken the time off from work to have appointments at the same time. My daughter was called one hour before her appointment to let her know that she wouldn't be able to get her haircut because the artist was not available. My wife has gotten her hair cut here for years and generally she is happy with her cut but not today. She hasn't stopped crying since she left. She had stylist Lisa and told Lisa she just wanted a trim and that she wears her hair up everyday and wanted to make sure it was long enough to continue to do so.
