i went to go get my hair done, right? but no. they barely even TOUCHED my hair before they started to insult me. of course i got mad because who does that? i was asking for them to just do my hair. anyway, i got kicked out. nothing done to my hair. extremely pissed off. i would rate this a zero if i could. the relaxing vibe was nowhere to be seen. awful. just awful.
these people are absolutely trashy, the entire place was super dirty, there were dead bugs EVERYWHERE. the service was terrible, they kept on swearing at me and gave me disgusting looks. i asked for a simple hair dye and they called my hair FRIED. they then proceeded to refuse doing my hair, which im glad they did because i did NOT want to stay any longer in that dump. psa, avoid this place unworthy of the name salon at all costs.

The reviews regarding cancellations are terrible. I live on whidby and have to plan my alderwood mall days carefully I'll get my hair styled elsewhere

Don't go. I have been a customer for over 20 years. They are very quick to tell you about their cancellation policy. But when they cancel an hour prior to your appointment, you're given no help in re booking. Three times by appointment have been canceled and every time I tell myself this is the last time I'm going to this business their stylist OK but their business practice is terrible.

PSA: My appointment was canceled 3 hours prior to service day of. Barb, mentioned a manager would contact me regarding offering a discount. (Gene Juarez charges clients 50% of service if canceled within 12hours). Manager never reached out. I followed up the next day-still nothing. Barb, rescheduled me for the following week. She confirmed date and time, I recited it back to her (my OCD) and she said correct. I called back to confirm my appointment, no appointment was ever set. Poor experience-steer away.

I'll make this short and simple. I went in for a cut and color, balayage. At the time, I was having major fallout. Andi said she'd take $100 off because of it. There wasn't much to color let alone cut. I wanted to go lighter and she gave me orange then transformed into Houdini. Went here for a self care day.. spent $200 on a hair cut and a hair treatment where they just sprayed stuff in my hair.. I usually have a hair lady in Seattle that I go to and she only charges $30 for my hair cut. My hair cut I had here was atrocious.. uneven.. layers weren't even layers. I asked for the layers to taper in the back to make V and it doesn't. Now I have to cut my hair shorter to compensate the mess. Wasted $200, wish I could get a refund. Just be real and put on your website that walk-ins are NOT WELCOMED! Between the sassy receptionist (Frank) who never got me connected with the salon after multiple attempts at making an appointment today to walking into Alderwood and seeing plenty of available employees (6:50 p.m.) to leaving without a haircut the customer service alone put me off this place.
