Awful terrible terrible staffing! Their periodontist gave me a mouthwash and asked for a follow up within a month. That month hit and because I moved and tried to reschedule to a location closer to me, Jackie got me booked with Grossmont's location and because their staffing is awful, they failed to tell me they didn't take my insurance so they canceled my appointment. Most horrible office ever! I was there for a teeth cleaning and to repair a chipped tooth. I spent almost 3 hours there to get the services done. They tried, from the beginning to the end, to add more treatments (not cover by insurance), not required and not needed, to grab more money. They did the same with my husband. We also had the worse teeth cleaning experience ever. The hygienist was rude and unprofessional beyond words. I don't recommend this place at all! Stay away! They will try to scam you. I went here even after reading all the reviews because it was close to home! Stay away They charge outrages prices! And I have 2 great dental insurances.

Their technique is fine. No problems there. My issues stem from having uncapped insurance and the resulting pressure to do more procedures. It makes me very uncomfortable. I already have anxiety when I go, and this makes it worse. Also, when I went in for my 1st post COVID appointment I got numbing shots for the deep quadrant cleaning on the side we did. This is absolutely the worst place!!! They over charge you and lie! They are absolutely horrible!!! NEVER GO THERE!!! My family and I had the worst experience there and when you confront them they deny everything! They take no responsibility. If I could give them no stars I would!!! They don't even deserve one star! I came here to get fillings and had a great experience.... I was told I needed a root canal but my insurance doesn't cover it so I needed an extraction and every time I called for an extraction appointment they promised to call me back to schedule it and I called them 5x and NOTHING I was in pain for a week waiting on a call back to make an appointment and when I finally got one they told me the dentist could not see me bc she was going on her lunch but I could reschedule an appointment again! This is the worst dentist I have ever been to. They try to pressure unnecessary, expensive procedures (luckily I have a friend who is a dentist overseas and I can ask for a second opinion) and they they are untruthful when asked about studies showing advantages. They also messed up several appointment times and then tried to blame me or my wife for it. Finally the reception staff gets very rude very quickly.

Okay so I typically don't leave reviews, but I thought I would warn other people about their billing practices and basically outright scamming folks. I have great dental insurance, it covers basically everything, however I'm pretty new to using it so I was not totally aware of my schedule of benefits. As if this place couldn't get any worse, this will just be the icing on the cake. I went to this dentist about 8 or 9 years ago to get my regular cleanings. I had a cavity filled by the dentist, which a few years later turned into needing a root canal because the dentist did not fill the cavity correctly. I also got my first root canal done at this office, which has now turned into needing either a bone graft and implant or the root canal redone.
