First time visiting General Dental in Hayward on 12/31/2024. Nice location with plenty of parking. The inside is clean and welcoming, with a TV and a selection of VHS tapes that brought back good memories. The staff is friendly, and check-in was easy until I had to fill out the forms online. I tried 2-3 times on my phone, but for some reason, the front desk didn't receive it. The system was acting weird, so I ended up completing it on their computer, which was much easier. I'm surprised & Confused about the treatment it's my first time scheduling an appointment at this location . My understanding was most dental care family facilities offered a free X-rays and initial treatment with the insurance. Apparently this is NO the Case with THIS LOCATION I SING A BILL OVER 300 DOLLAR JUST FOR THE X-RAYS . I'M NOT PLANING TO RESCHEDULE A FOLLOW UP VISIT
It’s really nice to walk into their office and be greeted by the front desk. They’re always very busy but they take time to greet you. Back office all very busy and very polite. I really like Lila. She is a sweetheart she knowledges me every time I come in. I love it, that she remembers me by my name. Always greets me with a great big smile.
Gentle Dental must establish a payment plan for long-time patients for ongoing dental treatment, especially when the costs are expected to exceed more than $500. I have been a repeat customer/patient for more than 10 years. The previous dental provider (Fremont Dental who was acquired by Gentle Dental 10 years ago) provided payment plan for its patients.
I'm a 64 year old man with cancer, and I thought I was going to get a checkup and xrays and then hopefully a cleaning..I got the checkup and xrays, but I guess it's a money making process..I have medicare nowadays and the checkup and xrays were covered, but they gave me a estimate for $1,000 for a deep cleaning and $1,500 for 2 fillings that are not covered. They told me that they have a good finance company..I guess I need to get a good 2nd opinion..things are tough all over. They seem nice. We'll see what we find out with ... read more
