I wish I could give this place 5 stars, but I left disappointed and angry. I got a Groupon deal for an exam and shots. The vet started to push unnecessary services, so I said yes thinking that it's an extra cost to what I already paid. They ended up charging me again for a visit, shots and some other random things. I don't mind paying $400 for a visit and shots but they intentionally overcharged me. Ugh... I won't be back and won't recommend this clinic to anyone.
All About the $$$ We brought our 12 year old Golden mix to be diagnosed and treatment for what we believed was pancreatitis. After further testing the diagnosis was a likely cancerous growth in his small intestine. We were told the treatment option (and price) and concluded we would not invest the thousands required nor put him in the stress of a surgery and lengthy recovery for a dog near the end of his natural life anyway. I loved this clinic before... But they earned so good reputation and was going down. Almost 1 years before my dog was suddenly sick and I called them nobody answered. So I took him here and explained his situation they said to me " we can't do anything for you . Just go back and he get worse go to emergency" . Ok that was my fault because I recognized they were so popular and can't get any space for my dog. But it wasn't nice for upset owners. Anyway I took my dog to animal general and got treatment.

I am furious. I have been bringing my Persian cat Priscilla to Gotham Veterinary Center for the past 9 to 12 months. I saw Dr. Brown as well as their male dentist and one other female vet on occasion. The main issues were her Stomatitis and a chest mass. They addressed the Stomatitis (which never improved with their treatment) but kept putting off addressing the chest mass. Would never recommend this place due to their repeated negligence. I went to this Vet multiple years in a row and anytime my cat was sick. The last time I physically went to this office, I was charged for an office visit and shots, as normal. One week later I get a call notifying me my cat did not get her shots. Naturally, I'm upset. I came in for my cat who had an issue with her eye. The front desk people were very nice, however when I saw the doctor she weighed my cat and asked to see how my cat walks. To then say my cat has anxiety and I should treat her with anxiety treats and attempted to sell me a bag. It was 10 minutes for the cost of 90 dollars. I used this vet for my dog for about 3 years. I didn't really have any issue untill now, but my dog never had a problem either. Last summer I needed to travel, therefore I put my dog in a boarding facility. I needed the bordetella vaccine for that and I brought him to the Gotham. This vet is technically very good but I consistently feel that their aim is to make as much money as possible from their clients. I paid $2,000 for teeth to be pulled from my dog. On a subsequent visit, I was told by the dentist that my dog needed a cleaning that would only take a few minutes. When i brought the dog in for the cleaning, the receptionist gave me a $700 estimate that was dated 8 months back. My dog has been a patient there since 2011. Dr. Bonnie Brown is my dog's vet. I have had good care over the years, however, recently when I had an emergency and walked in before they opened, after being up all night with my very ill pet with loose teeth and severe dental disease, they turned me away.
