The least functional printer I've ever owned The only thing I can get this printer to do reliably is print single-sided color or B&W sheets when it is physically connected to my computer via USB. Double-sided printing jams the paper feed; scanning has never worked; and network printing has never worked. Extremely disappointed with this purchase.
Do not buy this printer I do not like this printer at all. It was a mistake. Every time I go to use it it has a problem with the connection. It does not have an auto feed scanner. You have to stand there and hand feed the document. When I first received this printer it did not work. I got a replace from Brother. At that time asked if upgrade the printer and they said NO. Be careful only 120V Unlike I lot of Brother printers, this printer is only 110-120v (not 220-240v). Amazon should not be shipping this product to 240v locations like HK where they shipped to us. As a result plugged it in, white smoke, and one dead printer. I should have been more careful buying, but the listing could have been clearer about the voltage.
Received a Canadian model!? For some reason I received a Canadian model (in Texas) and had no idea it would be incompatible. It wouldn't work with any PC. I tried with three PCs at work and my personal laptop... nothing. Replaced the cable twice... nothing. Called tech support who gave the runaround...nothing. Finally sent it in for warranty work and the third party tech switched out an internal control board... success! Now it works well but it was a super frustrating few months to get to this point.

Doesn’t print color well! This is a color printer. After a month of “giving it a chance” we were sure that it consistently had poor quality when printing any color. Beyond disappointing.
CRAP Cable necessary but No cable comes with product - don't you hate having to go to the store and search for the right cable? It defeats the purpose of shopping online. Set-up manual is worthless and zero weekend support. No videos on this product on Brother's website. Nothing about setting this printer up is self-explanatory. I will be purchasing an HP. Why I bother with anything is beyond me - they break or are too time consuming to figure out.
Get an HP and know you get quality Usually we use HP but our IT team said this printer would be perfect for our needs. The printer never worked well with it "running" out of toner all the time and printing light on half of the page. they kept saying it was the toner. we're busy like everyone else and did not return in time. off to buy an HP to replace.
Rip off, misleading This is a rip off, the automatic feeder does not work for copying or scanning. I can’t even use it
