Almost caught fire today Had this printer for about two years now. Occasional printing, used a couple times a week for average things, nothing heavy duty. Replaced the original ink cartridges recently. Wifi connection never worked well. Could never get it to stay connected. Called customer service and they would help me get it connected. As soon as I got off the phone with them the connection would fall off again. Did this at least 6x before just giving up on that feature. Then came the paper jams. Not a fan of this printer. Only paid $250 for this printer but, knowing what I know now, I would not even pay half that. Wirelessly, devices lose the password constantly, needing to be re-entered. Sometimes just doesn’t accept device it’s connected to many times previously. Leads to trying over and over until it ‘magically’ decides to comply. Only accepts normal weight paper, not cardstock or it jams, even fed one at a time. Really, though, for a wireless printer, which is what we wanted it for with everyone in the home need... read more
The absolute worst printer I have now owned this garbage printer for 3 years. The last 1.5 years have been awful. It stays in offline mode, and will not print reliably. Sometimes if I try to cancel, it cancels and prints the items 2 days later. When it decides to cooperate, it WILL NOT print anything more than a simple text document. When printing a property survey or sheet music, you can forget it. 40+ pages of 1 line of random text is spit out instead of the 1 page I send to the printer before it responds to cancelling. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY This printer was great at first. We bought it a little over two years ago. Slowly, we started having problems with it. At first, it would just go offline and we constantly had to restart it to get it to stay connected to the internet. In the last year or so, we have started having problems with the drums. The printer constantly says the drums need to be adjusted. A simple printing job can take an hour to print because we are constantly having to adjust the green tab on the drums. Poor quality product. Missing critical elements Black and white prints are great, but the color print quality is not good at all. Also, after 2 years, the scanner no longer works properly (distortion line on every scan). There is no USB port, which is like this thing was made in 1990. Major oversight on my part when I bought it!
Biggest piece of junk printer I have ever owned 1) This printer is constantly going on and offline. I have spent countless hours trying to connect and re-connect. And it will only print from 1 of our 3 home computers even though it shows up as online to all 3. You can send your doc to the printer but nothing ever happens. 2) It just gave me the low black toner warning and showed that the other 3 colors were over 1/2 full. Takes about 3 minutes to start each print job. I bought it in April 2018, the quality print it was ok for a year and half, but i have constant problems when printing from the computer and also when I print multiple different receipts it prints the 1st one on the remaining it says there is a problem with them I have to prees restart for each receipt and it takes about 3 minutes to start printing after you press start or actually any time I print something it is not a good printer, I will definitely not buy this brand again. Suddenly lost connection Was working great, then suddenly lost connection. It connects to my wifi network, but no computers can connect to it. Have spent about 20 hours trying to find a solution to no avail: got a new router, updated all firmware, factory resets...no luck. Search elsewhere for your wireless printing needs!
Poor Tech Slow and laggy, this printer is not worth the cost. The touchscreen alone will drive you crazy and printing from your network takes forever. Avoid!
