Hi Giada! I’ve been following you for years on Food Network & have been a big fan of all your cookbooks! My significant other took me tonight for my 47th birthday to your new restaurant Luna in Old Town Scottsdale, AZ. Unfortunately, it was the worst restaurant experience that I’ve ever had. For my birthday, they threw 2 plastic wrapped cookies at me as if it was at McDonald’s “happy meal”. It was very disheartening & tacky! I was really looking forward to our date night at Luna. We adore Giada’s in Vegas & had high hopes for the newest location. Sadly, we were not alerted for a ready table or sat promptly even though we arrived early for our reservation & waited to be contacted. It was only after checking into the front desk again that we were sat. Our server failed to come to the table many times throughout the meal to check on us. Food was not worth the price. Pasta was undercooked and shrimp extremely over cooked. They charge for still water. Seems a little obnoxious for the desert. We are not Vegas. I will not be returning for the overall price and food quality.

Food was bland. Half way through our meals my wife and I both stopped eating because the food was just boring. However our server Tucker was phenomenal and deserves a raise because he was the best part of the entire experience.

service was slow never asked if we wanted desert just gave me the bill slow to bring a glass of wine about 20 min also had to wait 15 min for the table when restaurant was almost empty it was 5:15 reservations

The focaccia and caprese salad were terrific. It was a little difficult to hear people at your table and the menu could be a challenge to read once the the restaurant was dimly lit for dinner. It took about three hours for us to have two appetizers and main entrees and there were plenty of open tables. Took about an hour for each appetizer to come out and another hour before our dinner arrived. Server apologized for the delay. No discount, no visit by the manager. While the food was delicious, and the plates were well curated, the service was below average. Our server seemed uninterested and was frankly rude. The agnolotti was good but not worth $41 for the portion that was served.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, they are a new restaurant and perhaps working out some kinks. Central location and a beautiful hotel with a wonderful dining space, but the dinner and service fell a little flat from what we expected. The starting focaccia was delicious, but dinners came out lukewarm and not very refined, i.e. the flavor profile of the Signature Lemon Spaghetti was fine, but the Parmesan tasted gritty and powdery, almost like it was store-bought, instead of creamy and freshly grated. No greeter available to check reservation or seat us. Menu: blue/gray print hard to read unless you turn it the correct angle. Waiter: clearly not his chosen profession. Caesar salad: Only had cheese, lettuce and capers. No olive oil or lemon, etc. Broccolini was burned and impossible to eat stems should have been blanched Ordered double espresso, got single and it was ice cold.
