Wrote my first review 2 years ago, I think an update is in order. I still love the concept and have been here quite a few times, since the lock downs. The price has gone up though. I pay over $80 now for roots with tip. I finally got around getting the Balayage. It was ok. My ends are more brassy instead of caramel, but I got used to it and even like it - the first few weeks was weird though. It seems that they are chronically understaffed, I was a bit hesitant as the manager called me the day before asking me to forgo the blow-dry as she did not have enough staff. I was a bit annoyed, given I had booked weeks in advance. Anyway the manager was also evidently overwhelmed but promised to fit me in as requested. Naomi and the haircolor crew at the Walnut Creek Color Bar are the best! The work very hard to ensure satisfaction for their hair color services and general customer service. Naomi does an amazing job working the schedule to make sure everyone is accommodated and the hair colorist goes the extra mile to ensure that I receive the color service that I need. Love the staff here! I'm ALWAYS in need of touch ups and these ladies make me feel comfortable and taken care of every time! They're friendly and talented and it's always a great experience. Aside from the amazing service, the salon is clean and sanitized and I couldn't ask for anything more. It's safe and friendly and I leave feeling refreshed and every time.

I visited this place for the first time tonight . This location was amazing everything about the place was a great experience so clean and tidy inside. Staff was so friendly and helpful with helping me choose a color.. Naomi was my stylist who helped me she was awesome And so knowledgeable. Loved that the products have no Oder and are good for your hair. LOVE my hair color.... So impressed definitely will be going again and will recommend this place to all my friends ! Madison Reed colors are fabulous, So is their service at the color bar I'm now addicted! I have been coloring my hair by myself and professionally for many years and their color is the best, multidimensional as they advertise. I really enjoy their roots service, for $60 a month you can get your roots done as often as you want! The color bar is spacious and clean, their staff are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. And quick! Highly recommend!

I was very satisfied with my color and services however I was upset and uncomfortable when they sat someone next to me that was having a blow dry. I would say is was less than 6 feet away and very concerning to me. Not sure I will go back due to this.

Best experience ever. I've been to so many hair salons ranging from all price ranges and expertise levels, and I couldn't be happier with Madison reed color bar. Garett was a gem and provided such AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE, so sweet and very knowledgeable of the products and how my hair would take to it. Never was I left with doubt if it would or would not work, in the past I was told I wasn't a good candidate for Balage but he made me feel like it was totally doable and it turned out fabulous.
