So this is hopefully the only time I am going to be purchasing an engagement ring, and I have to say the experience I had at Mervis in Tysons was above and beyond. That location was recommended by a close friend, however the person he had dealt with was no longer working there. I made an appointment and soon met my salesman, Fazken Krikorian. Great friendly staff. I bought an engagement ring with Mervis 26 years ago and I have never regretted it. Fazken at the Tysons Store was most helpful with an appraisal that I needed on a ring that was bought elsewhere. The Tysons Corner Store is very nice and that staff is most professional.
Mervis was the only place we needed to look for our diamond. Upon our first visit we were made comfortable and confident that they would provide the best diamonds. The head gemologist Fazkin was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, professional and not at all aggressive with trying to sell us a diamond. We fell in love with a diamond, slept on it for a while, compared the price to diamonds sold online and there was not much difference, but buying at Mervis we got to see the actual diamond we were purchasing. We shopped here recently, and we knew what we wanted after some online research with other retailers (which I think helped the process for us). We had Elizabeth Appleman helping us, and she really was lovely. We were shown into a small room (typical of jewelry stores) and were brought rings to try on. Elizabeth ran back and forth dozens of times (in heels!) with options, brought us coffee and water, and offered helpful opinions without being too pushy, and we stayed within our budget. Not only was she knowledgeable about their selection, but she made us both feel comfortable and so welcome. I wanted a somewhat unique shape plus setting so they didn't have an exact sample, but gave us a great idea of what it could look like. Monica at the Rockville location is great to work with. She is very professional, bubbly and has a great passion for her job. As soon as I walked in, I was welcomed with both arms and she walked me thru all of the designs, gave recommendations, sat me and my mom down, offered us coffee and also took my ring size. Basically, she prepped herself before my bf gets there so, it will be a quick shop. I strongly recommend this location and Monica.
Not great. Wanted a specific item and felt condescended to. The salesperson literally laughed.
Everyone knows the Mervis' from the radio commercials, but did you know they also sell diamonds?? Okay, bad joke. My boyfriend and I went to Mervis to go ring shopping - and the selection was far better than the other 6 places we went to! You only get one engagement ring, so I was willing to keep shopping as long as it took. My husband and I were disappointed by the service we received and ultimately he did not purchase my engagement ring or wedding band here. Of all the jewelry stores we visited while shopping for my engagement ring, this was my least favorite. We scheduled an appointment and did a lot of research on the engagement ring styles we were interested in.
